Hello,

Last week i notice that both my AP and my AED case status were change and they send me a RFE, I wasn't to worried because I knew I sent all the required documents and they probably lost one, and my GC interview is this week so I won't even need them.

So today I went to pick up the mail and the RFE says that the USCIS records indicate that I've departed the country prior to the approval of the AP. and that I need to prove I had a valid AP or didn't leave.

But I didn't leave the country, I don't know where they got that information from, and how do I prove I didn't leave, the only prove I have is that I'm in the US now.

I'm planning on calling tomorrow and explain plus send copies of all pages of my passport showing I don' have any reentry stamps, plus a print of the canceled return flight ( it was cheaper to buy a 2 way ticket then a 1 way ticket, but I did cancel the flight 1 week prior to the departure), I already had my biometrics in january but i don't have any document from it except the appointment letter, i'm also going to mention that in the explanation.

Could this complicate the GC interview and process??? I'm thinking of bring it up at the interview to make sure there isn't any problems

The airline reported your departure to CPB but didn't update there system after you cancelled the flight. I've read a few of these now but they were from people who never cancelled the return. The fact that you cancelled the return puts you in a good space.

Give them a call on Monday and send in a copies of all your passport pages and flight cancelation with a short and to the point letter explaining your actions. That should clear the RFE.
