What a great Olympics for Canada--Taking Gold in the 2 sports that matter--curling and hockey!!

I wasn't sure our women team would prevail as the Americans had been beating them leading up to the Olympics.......and then be down by 2 in the closing minutes and fight back to tie it!!

Then men had been totally dominant the past 2 games!! Always seemed top be a swarm of Canucks on the puck!!

Another great day to be Canadian!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I watched the women's game on my Ipad during a meeting at work :) I told everyone when we started the meeting that I would be distracted so be forewarned! They all smiled and shook there heads and said 'She's Canadian, its ok'.

I wanted to jump out of my chair when they tied!

My hubby bet me that the US women's and men's team would both take gold. I bet him that Canada would take both. I won. He had to run down the street with the Canadian flag screaming that Canada had the best Olympic teams and that we ruled the Olympic hockey world while wearing a sign on the front that said Team Canada Olympic hockey rocks. Foolish man he never should bet against the power of red and white. rofl.gif
