it will take 20--30 days for a case number to be assigned, once you get the case number then it all depend on how to communicate with nvc, if you send all the documents on time and make no mistake on either of the form then it may take more then 3 months, and since you will be going to ISB embassy which is very busy, it may take 3 to 6 months i had received the case number on november 25th 2013, and my wife interview was on april 29th 2014.

do not go to pakistan right now, you are at nvc stage right now, you will be required to pay affidavit of support fee,, immigration fee, send affidavit of support and civil documents to nvc , so that they can complete your case and schedule you for an interview at us embassy in islambad, if you leave now, you will miss all the communication from nvc and it will further delay your case. if you need any help from me, plese let me know,

Thanks King786, so it took you a little over 4 months after getting case number, were you able to sail through nvc without making any mistakes in forms? That would help me put your timeline in perspective.

I was also worrying about getting back to nvc on time as well if I traveled now, particularly since I was planning to spend about a month at home. But I thought I should be fine with email communications from anywhere but real issue is sending packet IV and if there were any mistakes in forms right? Thanks for your help!

Hi all,

I have an urgent question. Do I need to send urdu nikka nama to NVC or just the english is enough? I noticed nikkah registrar signature is not there on the urdu one although all other stamps are there so I don't want to send something and getting checklist. I also have NADRA nikkah registration as well so is it safe not to send urdu version of it? i would really appreciate urgent reply. Thanks.
