I really hope they bring the site back up soon, I'm sending in a response on Monday to a RFE I received; and I would like to see when they receive it and when they issue the NOA2.

Same here. I just checked using the phone line and it works. My status changed yesterday to waiting for the oath ceremony! Now I'm wondering how long they take to send you a letter with the date. I am changing my name and the officer told me that they do a ceremony once a month in Tampa.

I just learned the moon was made of cheese and if you get in now, there are spaceships that can ferry it back to earth. Send me a PM and I can give you a link to send an initial 10k investment. If the first transport is successful then only 5k a month thereafter for 12 months. This is priorty and must be acted upon with 24 hours.

No way I could ever infringe on your newly discovered investment. I would not want you to lose out on all the cash you will rake in. Perhaps when you get filthy rich off of moon cheese, then you can buy the USCIS better servers for checking your status every hour. It will be a win-win situation for you.

For some people, the US Government can do nothing right. Must be listening to the right wingnut narrative.

My building internet was down over a weekend, called, got a service call for Wednesday, they fixed it. Much more than 2 minutes.

You can still call to find out whether your status has changed. The obama developers should be back from vacation tomorrow after lunch or so, depending on whether the union gives the okay to screw it up a little more. dancin5hr.gif

Wow. Sometimes servers go down. It happens. I am sure it is not something they did on purpose, and not being able to check the case status for a bit on the weekend will not harm anyone's case/situation.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to K-1 Progress Reports - topic is case status ~ > Nevermind that. Celeste is faster smile.png

When my husband's case was processing the site was down for the entire time, I had no way to access it. We lived to tell about it.

I hope everyone who reads these posts calls the USCIS on Monday and tells them that it's unacceptable use of taxpayer dollars to allow this portion of the website to be down for extended periods of time. Speak up, and vote out the congressmen who ignore this behavior and lack fleet feet to get it fixed.

Are you for real? It's technology, things happen. The entire time my husband's case was processing the site was down, yes for months and months. Not only did we survive,we lived to tell about it. Why do people panic when they cannot check their status on a weekend whne nothing is going to change in the first place. Chill out people, back away from the computer and go out and get some air.

If you find the waste of taxpayer dollars and fees collected by the DHS that are used to run the USCIS website to be well-spent, then that is your right. However, I disagree with you completely and whether you like it or not there are many people who have good reason to question the waste and abuse of the system. I will exercise my right to speak up when I see something that is not right. The case status section of the USCIS website has NEVER worked properly and despite the large sums of money and man-hours spent it remains unfixed. If you disagree with me that's fine, but do everyone a favor and disagree without launching a personal attack.

Does it really matter on a weekend?

Most if us IT guys take down a site on the weekends to work on it

For high-profile websites they should be using redundant servers like banks, and large sales websites. That means when the run the live server, there is at least one other server that has all the code that is used for testing and updating. If you just have a mom-and-pop website then you can take it down and put it up whenever you feel like it. That doesn't work if you have more than a few hundred people visiting every day.
