Getting a TN Status - are employers willing to write a letter for a job other than the one actually being offered?

I'm a Canadian with an MA degree in Film Screenwriting. This would make me eligible to receive the TN Status if I were hired as a "Technical Writer". The problem is that I do not work in that field. I work as a manager of operations - this is not a job that is qualified for the TN Status. I've quit my job and will be moving to San Francisco in a couple of weeks to find a job. If I do find one, I must ask the employer to prepare a offer letter as if they are hiring me for the position of a "Technical Writer". My questions are:

1. Are employers willing to do this?

2. Would the job title be attached to the TN status card?

3. Would the employer be bound somehow after writing the bogus letter? Or is the status all the same once it is granted?

4. Am I crazy to think that somebody will want to hire me enough to go along with this kind of scheme? Or do people do this?

Another question I have is how I can become a citizen or receive a green card.

5. I read somewhere that there is a special green card available to MA degree holders. Is this true?

6. I also read, but cannot find now, that one can go from TN to green card but it has to be applied within the first few weeks of arriving to the States. Is this true?
