Been listening to a lot of Arab Strap too, and going to see them in Philadelphia next weekend.

...Sinister is widely considered to be their best album, and while I'm not sure if I agree, it's a great piece of work. "Me and the Major" is definitely in my B&S top five!

I actually don't use a cd player. I have an ipod that holds all my cds that I own with plenty of room to spare. So I have a bit of everything on there. Country, pop, rock, some danish stuff my hubby owns....

don't really have anything i listen to exclusively.. just whatever comes on.

Oh, aye, the Frames! I saw them last year and they were fantastic. Dean, they're sort of Coldplay-ish but, well, better. There are definitely some elements of traditional Irish music in their songs (witness Colm's violin solos in "Fitzcarraldo," for example)...they're just awesome.

Any of their albums would make a good starting point, including the live one, Set List. Their most recent album, released stateside last year, is called Burn the Maps.

Mmm, I always find it hard to describe music...so I'm gonna rob something from a website that I think is pretty good: an earthenware collection of skewed avant-folk songs that sounded like they’d been written in a hole in the ground and recorded in some hi-tech coastal cave.

sounds good..add frames to the list..oh yeah, i have sinister already with b and s..but will check out the others..sadly, i have not found allot of b&s selection in st louis and have to order the cds..
