adjustment of status and i-797

Hi guys, I'm in the F1 family category and am in the process preparing the document package to apply for AOS. The i-485 asks for a copy of the i-797 approval notice, however, i only have the i-797C (the courtesy copy which says This courtesy copy may not be used in lieu of official notification to demonstrate the filing or processing action taken on this case). My question is that if I can use i-797C for the filing? Thanks in advance.

Since it says right there on that copy that it cannot be used to prove filing or processing of your case, then I would think not.
