When you renew a passport what happens to the CFO sticker ? Does the DFA contact CFO about adding another certificate since my wife already completed the course ?

DFA does nothing regarding the CFO sticker.

Does your wife still have her certificate from attending? If not her certificate should be on file with CFO, they can look it up and issue another sticker.

maybe you can answer this question as well . The 2 year green card that will be issued after the $165 payment . My wife is pregnant and we will have the baby in the Philippines . If she gets the interview done before the birth and stays in the country . Will that card arrive at my location and can I simply mail it to her ? Use the card instead of a CFO sticker ? We will work on the sticker as well . Just curious about the 2 year card .

I know that having the green card changes the rules, I know of others that travel back and forth and have no issues with not having a CFO sticker once they have their green card. Logic says she should be fine travel without the CFO sticker having a green card in her possession, but when has logic be a part of the Philippines government process wink.png I don't know how they would know this is her first time exiting the Phils.

Question I have is - do they start the process for the green card before clearing POE? That DO NOT OPEN envelopes has ALL the paperwork in it is why I ask. Logic says they won't start to process the green card until she clears POE

CFO is only slightly annoying, follow the info in my guide.

So you will being doing CRBA to get a US passport for the baby before your wife travels?

I was just curious about the card and yes the POE does make sense . That it would not be issued until after that . We will seek the sticker and hopefully will just be a new sticker issued .

It all depends on how quickly everything takes . Right now it does not look like we will make it to have the baby here . We are not in a huge rush as we want the family to see the baby too . I might travel back to the Philippines and we can have the baby baptized with her family . Then all travel home together to America . Not to mention that it is much more affordable to have the baby in the Philippines . Also my wife will be more at ease with family with her during the birth .

We chose the CR-1 knowing the K-1 was much faster , but a marriage with her family will be well worth the wait .

Thanks Hank

Your always very helpful
