Ok so I have seen many people questioned this and I too tried to find it and could not find a cut and dry answer so now that I have gone through it I have decided to share my first hand experience for others out there like me.

This is to inform you about the process from approved at interview to visa issued.

We had our interview at the Barbados consulate on 02/11/14 and was approved, we were told that we needed to mail back the passport to have the visa issued as the embassy did not take them the same day. Since we stayed a few days to explore the island and make a mini vacation out of it my fiance did not get back to his home country (Dominca) until the 16th. He mailed this visa and the the 17th via DHL. Got the the embassy in Barbados on the 18th at which point the Updated Status date changed to 02/18/14 and it was still at Ready. Then on the morning of the 20th the Case Creation Date and the Updated Status date changed to 02/20/14 that same day in the afternoon the Status changed to Administrative Processing. Then today 02/21/14 @ 1245 pm it changed to Issued.

So in short it takes about 3 days once approved to have the Visa issued: From Ready to Administrative Processing to Issued.

12/18/13 - Status changed notification via text & e-mail shipped to NVC dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif
12/20/13 - Hard copy NOA2 received in the mail
01/06/14 - NVC Received
01/06/14 - Case # Assigned to Wrong country (AM)
01/06/14 - Correct Case # Assigned (PM)
01/08/14 - In Transit to Consulate

01/14/14 - Consulate Received Package

01/25/14 - Interview Date 02/11/14

02/11/14 - Interview APPROVED

02/17/14 - Mailed Passport to Embassy for Visa Issuance

02/18/14 - Case Updated

02/20/14 - Case Creation Date & Status Date changed to 02/20/14 (AM)

02/20/14 - Status changed to AP (PM)

02/21/14 - Status changed to Issued

02/24/14 - Visa Received

04/25/14 - POE Miami

05/23/14 - Civil ceremony

Adjustment Of Status Journey

11/25/15 - Mailed AOS Package

11/28/15 - Package received

12/15/14 - NAO1
