Time Change at NVC - 30 Business Days

So today would be my 20th business day with NVC (that includes the delays for the snow days and the holidays). She informed me that unfortunately I would have to wait 30 business days now. :(

I am so depressed. I am all set to send everything in and I can't because I don't have a case number. I understand they are behind and getting a lot of petitions. It's just getting harder and harder for me that things are not moving.

Do what I've been doing.. just keep calling back every day. 20, 30 days is a standard answer.

Two days ago, they told me to wait 8 weeks before calling back to see if my case was received. I thanked them and hung up. I called back yesterday. Case received! Called back today for a number. They told me to wait 20 - 30 days. I plan to call back tonight and definitely again on Monday.

Just call back on Monday.... don't despair! Keep hounding them!

They said the same to me two days ago; even though it had been 20 business days, due to the hold ups with weather and stuff it was going to take longer. I called today on a whim and he gave me a case number though!!! I don't think I've ever been this excited about a few numbers and letters...Don't worry, it will process soon smile.png

even when u get a RFE letter its no longer 20 business days its 30..that's what they told me too...my suggestion is wait exactly 30 days b4 calling because i feel when u hound them they deliberately send u a checklist (they lost ur documents) saying something is missing just to delay u for the spite of it.

I'm glad I read this.

We've called twice only to check if they've received our case and have been told very rudely WAIT 8 WEEKS!!! We'll just give them another call next week then lol

They received my case on Jan. 21, and as soon as I hit 20 business days, (I also adjusted for the holidays and snow days.) they told me it would be 10 more business days. But that I should wait to hear from them. Ha. Fat chance. I call every day.

I've been calling them everyday for the past three weeks. They keep telling me it can take up to 30 days for processing and case complete. Hopefully they start to pick up the slack! Good luck to all!

They had my case on 10Jan. They gave me the same answer. I'll call them this week and next week to see if they key in my case into their system. Don't understand why it's so hard for them to assign us a case number!ranting33va.gif

Just want to update everyone: I just got off the phone with NVC and our case has finally been completed. It took exactly 18 business days from the day NVC received our documents to case complete. Good luck everyone!

It could be because that was a Holiday the day before so a bit of mail stacked up.
