Hello, you guys. I need your help again varifying something.

It's about the payment of my AOS (I-485) application. I'm also putting my I-131 and I-765 in the application, which according to the guide will waive the costs of those additional forms.

Payment as required by USCIS. Use a personal check so you can track the payment. Money Orders are also accepted. Read the Guide to Paying USCIS Immigration Fees. Be sure to include the payment for both the I-485 and the biometrics fee*.

>> The fee for I-485 applications includes the cost of the I-131 and I-765 (no need to pay for them if filed with or while your I-485 application is pending adjudication).

Does this mean that I don't have to pay the fee's for the I-131 and the I-765? Or does it mean that I have to pay them the amount and I'll be getting it back later? I tried looking it up but I couldn't find it anywhere...

Thanks for reading!

The fee of $1070 covers the I-131 and I-765 when they are submitted with the I-485. You won't be getting any of that amount back :)

You just pay the AOS fee of $1070. Since you file your I-765 and I-131 at the same time, those forms do not have a fee...they are free to file with AOS.

From what I read in the travel document application, it doesn't really make sense to apply for that with your I-485 unless you already have a date in mind you want to travel outside the country. It might've been the most complicated form I had to read for this immigration process though! It's kind of hard for me.

You don't need a date to travel. You can leave those fields blank. And it makes perfect sense and is highly recommended to apply for the AP at the very least for emergency situations in which you HAVE to leave.

It is actually something you should apply for with your I-485. I have seen far too many posts from people wishing they had filed for AP when something comes up and they need to leave the US while waiting for their green card.

The form does not have many questions to answer as you skip several parts when applying for AP. You leave the date and length blank and then hand-write Unknown for those fields after you print out the form. No explanation/reason needed either when applying with a pending I-485. See the example form > http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-131.pdf

6 photos total. Each form needs the supporting documentation that is required, found in the form instructions for each.

Only one G-1145 is needed.

Ohh ok - Thanks alottttt - One more confusion - the entire packet will go to the Chicago lockbox USCIS facility which will have I 765 and I 131 as well or these two forms will be filled somewhere else as stated in the instructions?

They are separate applications, but filed all together. Just place them together in an envelope and mail them off to the Chicago Lockbox.
