Ok, so we were in a dilemma.... We text and Skype ALL the time and I was thinking about it we have no "real" way to show ongoing besides the texts and Skype logs. Well as most of you know you can't print these out easily (we use imessage).... Or so I thought.

Skype.... All I do is I take a pic of my call history when we hang up (yeah it isn't dated but anyone with 1/2 a brain can see they were all made at different times and days). I hope that will work good enough.

Imessenger, this was a little tricky....

You MUST have a jailbroken device running iOS 6.0 or earlier (4, 5)

Go to Cydia

Click on search

search message2pdf

Buy it for $1.89

open it

Select who you want to get messages for, and if you want to set a time range, or color code it for you and your partner (there's a bunch of options, just look at what you want)

Then click send through email....Presto!!! You now have a PDF of all of your conversations (It does omit pics you send)

I hope this helps someone else out there, as I spent most of the night looking how to do this.

It is suggested that couple purposefully generate other and all kinds of evidence, regardless of what they normally do.

The best way to get your Skype messages, is to copy and paste them into a document.

Go to Skype, load your message history as far back as it will go.

Right click and Select All

Right click and Copy

Go to a blank document, and Paste.

All your messages, including dates and times, are copied into your document.

Chat logs are stored on your computer if your settings allow. My husband and I have Yahoo IMs since we met over a year ago. (won't be printing all of that). Yahoo logs even capture the length of time you spent on a Video call.

Capturing Facebook evidence is also good. Post photos of you and your partner with friends or together, caption the photo (John/Jane and I at a particular location on one of your visits), showing your lactation, and "like" the photo. This will show up on your friends feed and then their comments will be captured. You then click on the photo with all the comments, printscreen and paste it in a word document as a photo, or in Paint app in Microsoft Suite. If no one comments at the time you upload it...make a comment again and it will again show up on their current feed.

I've also copied and pasted a series of selected photos of both of us on visits to each other's country, pasted those in a word document and caption them showing the evolution of our relationship (which could also serve as back up to the chat logs - including the very INTIMATE discussions smile.png) . Print out those in colour to be attached to the application. We are being very deliberate about the evidences we gather.

If you use Skype on multiple devices, your conversation history should be shared among them. You may have to be logged into both places to do it. I know in my case, sometimes I will use Skype on my phone, and later come home and use Skype on my computer. My message history from when I used my phone will end up on my computer as well.

So what exactly should we have her bring to the interview?

As of right now I have every single text we have sent each other since she left (heh 2500 this month) I can print them from imessage, the only bad thing is they just say either from her number or to her number, my number is not listed. Also I have been taking photos of my Skype logs, it's kinda funny if I print all of this she will have a 3 inch thick stack of papers.

Is there anything else we can do? She was actually still here when they got the 129F (She left the country the day the received it) should we have her include her passes from when she was here too?
I am unable to travel down there to see her so that's out.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!! I just want to make sure that when she goes for her interview she is all set.

Thank goodness for this forum. :D

Really want to know, do we really have to bring each and every piece of communication?

My fiancé and I communicate on a daily basis through these various channels according to whichever is suitable at the time.

1. Facebook messenger - chat and voice messages

There are thousands of these and most convos are pretty private ;)

2. Skype - video calls more than chat

We use it for video chats mostly, but only when there is power in my area, so the records are limited.

3. Viber - chat, calls and voice messages.

4. Facebook group - we share links for the others mostly

5. Emails - well, email

6. MagicJack app - I call him on his US cell number (he is currently in US)

We also have a blog that we co-write, will that count as proof of ongoing relationship?

I know I should create a timeline for any and all sort of communication, but I dunno how to meld all these into one!

Any suggestions? :( HELP!

the only evidence you have is skype? You dont have boarding passes or passport stamps, no pictures, no receipts from being in the same place at the same time, pictures...nothing at all? Have you met in real life?

I was in the Philippines with my fiance for her interview in October and they didn't ask for anything,

but who knows what they would have asked for if I wasn't there. But what I had with me in case

they asked were some of the same evidence that I submitted with the I-129 petition, plane

tickets, hotel reciepts, restaraunt reciepts, lettersa and cards that we mailed to each other,

emails, YM's, Viber, pictures together and with her family, all money gram reciepts and phone

bills. Sometimes using all the free stuff offered can come back to haunt you, depends on the

consulate I believe. You don't need everthing or every piece of document(s), you only need

some of each for each month since you began your relationship. Good Luck!

No we have a few pics of me and her, along with her with my kids. She was here the last 6 months on a B-2 visa. Boarding passes IDK if she saved those, receipts... Those I usually don't get or throw away immediately.

Skype is a lot harder to get the chat log or call log if you use the app. You should logging into your Skype account to download the call history (make sure you do this often--I heard Skype deleted it often).

As for Viber, it will keep a log of your chat/call record if you maintain the same device. The log can be sent to an email address of your choice through in the Settings.

What I did with all of our call logs was to put it in a presentation binder...this is really cheap and looks organized ;)

Thanks for the tip. :) I'm going to present different mediums of communication in different sections in a presentation file, as you said.

I have a question though. Is it ok if we document communication only after our NOA1 date or do we need it from the very start of the relationship?

I asked my fiancé about how he sent evidence of communication and he said he took snapshots of appropriate parts conversations in skype and emails.

I found a really great application for downloading skype logs here, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/skype_log_view.html . One drawback in this is that I cannot isolate my fiancé call records, but I manually selected them, turned it into HTML and print it. I'm going to do this regularly so that even if msgs gets deleted, I will have a copy intact. :D

For Viber, I just checked the log they sent me in email. It's in excel and I didn't like the way the conversation and calls were listed. :( Really hard to decipher call durations. I'm taking screenshots on my phone periodically for different days where we had particularly long conversations.

I guess I can do the same for others as well. :)
