I would like to visit my fiance for a month from April 1st(on his birthday-and 10th are mine) to end of April.

We are waiting for NOA2. My timeline here says till march 20 we ll get it.

So i wonder if i will be ok to go there just for a month and show them the noa1 and my ticket to go back. I have nothing else to show them i dont work back on my home country now. Whats ur opinion guys?

And is the vj s timeline accurate? It says on march we ll get our noa2. U think till the day it gives us we ll get it?

Whats ours opinion what should i do? I havent seen my fiance since august!

01-08-2013 : We decided to be a couple and walk on the same life path!!!!

06-08-2013 : I traveled to the US to stay with my man for 3 months. We got engaged!!!!

Meanwhile :

July 2013 : My fiancé apply for his citizenship.

November 2013 : My fiancé become an American citizen.

12-23-2013 : We sent I-129F form.

12-30-2013 : I-129F NOA1.

01-06-2014 : I-129F RFE ( fee mistake - we sent 341$ not 340$ ) + NOA1 Hardcopy.

01-22-2014 : We re-sent I-124F form.

01-24-2014 : I-129F NOA 1.

01-27-2014 : Case Number changed.

01-28-2014 : Alien Registration Number changed.

01-31-2014 : NOA1 Hardcopy.

02-07-2014 : Expedite requested.

02-10-2014 : Requested expedite denied.

04-28-2014 : Expedite requested (financial loss).

05-02-2014 : Email received requesting evidence to expedite + we sent evidence right away.

05-05-2014 : Expedite request approved (we called uscis on 05/08 and they told us that got approved).

05-08-2014 : NOA2

05-12-2014 : Uscis mail us noa2

05-14-2014 : Noa2 hardcopy received

05-21-2014 : Noa2 hardcopy received again with date 05-12-2014

The date estimated for NOA2 is only estimated.

It's calculating that estimate based on current data that people submit on VJ.

No one can tell you for sure when you will get NOA2.

You could get it today, tomorrow, or 5 months from now.

However, the VJ date is the current approximate based on input data of the small selection of people on this website.

if you currently have a valid B1/B2 visitor visa why not spend a month visiting? you just have to ensure you bring proof of ties with you for your entry so they know you are not planning on overstaying. They still could turn you back, but my hubby came on his B1/B2 for Christmas/New Years and had no problem coming in or leaving.

If i go i ll use tourist visa. And i have no proof of ties. Just my word that i will go back for my interview. :(

Do you have a house that you make payments on? That could help even without a job.

There is no way that you can predict whether you'll be allowed in or not. Plenty of people have done it - you can check the Yes You can Visit thread for real cases and tips. Showing the NOA1 would be proof that you intend to do things the right way and are really only visiting. It's always a gamble, but I think with honesty and preparation you can tip the odds in your favor.

As for the NOA2, as it has been said, VJ's prediction is only that, a prediction. Don't set your heart on it.
