Hi VJ family, i have a question regarding the ID card, i entered USA 20 days ago , i got my Social security card 10 days since i came , i still waiting for the green card , to identify myself like in the bank .. i use my passport , Do i need a state ID card ? Do i need to apply for this card now or until i get my GC? is there anything also i need to apply for ?

Your passport and ssn should be sufficient for now, but it wouldn't hurt to see whether you can get a state id. It's usually easier to use id that's familiar to everyone.

I am speaking from my gal's experience in the state of Georgia, only! As long as her i-94 was still valid she was able to obtain a driver's license or a learner's permit, and/or a state ID. This was my gal's experience.

Hi, yes the ID card is familial to everyone , i'm not sure when theses who entered Usa like me ( CR1) they ask for this card

salam walykom u r going to get ur id when u apply for ur driver licence instead of applying twice i am from california too i came here a month ago so i am reviewing for my driver license too so it will be my id
