Hi,

So I sent in my birth certificate which has BOTH english and Urdu but I am worrying that I MAY get RFE if some dumb IO gets my file and thinks that it's not completely written in both languages. (the entire birth certificate is a one pager)

I am wondering if anyone on this forum has ever used any online translation services (certified) and sent it to USCIS?

My birth certificate is in Urdu.

We used www.rev.com to translate all of our documents. They are absolutely excellent and I highly recommend them, they are fast, too!! I never had to wait more than 24-hrs for the certified translations :-).

Awaiting Oath Ceremony for Citizenship! Last step!

Thanks a lot! I checked their site but it says they only have these languages... URDU is not mentioned. I will call them tomorrow and find out.

But thanks for your suggestion!

Did you follow the USCIS translation block?

You could have done and certified the translation yourself following the USCIS translation block.

As long as the online company translating certifies the translation, there shouldn't be a problem.

I'm sorry, what is a USCIS translation block? So even if this company rev.com doesnt have a Urdu translator and if they certify it then it should be fine?

No.

The translator must know Urdu and Enlish to do the translation and be able to certify it.

How would one certify a translation if one does not know the language???? It's impossible.

Google "USCIS translation block."

OK i found one of your postings here on VJ explaining what it is. This seems REALLY easy. I should've just done it before sending it with my package.

One last question, so I can do this myself!?? This looks so easy :)

Thanks! and how do you know SO MUCH about this stuff. I'm surprised at the amount of knowledge you've accumulated. It's great.

You totally can do the translation and certify it yourself following the USCIS translation block. It really is that easy.

I have done the translation for many people and never had a problem.
