Hi!

Was just informed that my case is now completed at Nvc and the next step is scheduling an interview.

Any Canadians that are currently, or have recently waited on an interview for a cr-1/ ir-1 in Montreal, how long from case complete to interview date at the consulate?

Thanks!

Generally takes 1-4 weeks like the one poster has stated. It really depends on when Montreal is giving the dates to the NVC. For a long time it was from the 1st until they were all taken (normally about the 10th-15th.) But then they skipped a month in August so the wait seems to be a bit longer. However there is a case complete/interview thread in the progress reports forum that you can check. Dwheels keeps it up and may have a good idea of how long people are waiting for interview dates for Montreal.

Hi all,

Does this packet come to the beneficiary. We have an attorney helping us with the apps. I was wondering who would be notified. Do they also send an email? At this point, I'm trying to track where my case with the NVC maybe and what sort of a timeline should I be following. I'm just worried because I have a vacation planned in June and just in case the interview comes then, I'm not sure what to do...

It's all email. No mailed forms. You can extend your time, but you cannot make it quicker. So if you want the interview after your vacation, wait until you are ready to return to Canada for thr last package.
