Scientists look to straighten homosexual sheep

If being straight is the norm and it's scientifically proven that people are born gay. Wouldn't that make being gay a birth defect? Shouldn't we find a cure for it? What do you think? I'm not trying to be funny... I'm serious!!!

I was thinking about this too. One of the arguments for homosexuality being genetic as opposed to a chosen lifestyle is that no one would choose to be homosexual given the increased number of obstacles. To me this implies that many homosexuals if given the choice would have preferred to *not* have been born that way.

Also, if my parents were the type to want to choose my sexual orientation, I think I'd probably want them to go ahead and do it. Let the parents who are more open to "alternative lifestyles" have homosexual children.

The last XMen movie played on that theme. Normal people regarded the mutants as degenerate and wanted to cure them. I don't see how homosexuality is a threat to any species, man or animal. It seems to occur in about 10 percent of mammal populations. I wonder what would've become of all the brilliant people throughout history who would have been 'cured' of their homosexuality.

I would think that they'd be just as brilliant.

Whether or not they can "straighten" the sheep is a sort of interesting issue, but why are they wasting time and money on this #######? We have so many other things worth working on. Tell me how to cure homosexuality when we've cured all the actual diseases in the world.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

"These experiments echo Nazi research in the early 1940s which aimed at eradicating homosexuality. They stink of

eugenics. There is a danger that extreme homophobic regimes may try to use these experimental results to change the orientation of gay people."

I agree...sad. :(

Steven....puh-leeze.

It's sheep.

They're not trying to 'fix' the sheep. They're trying 'fix' homosexuals (humans) as if there's something wrong with them. If I was gay/lesbian I'd be pretty pissed as well.
