Just as I was thinking "When the hell is TSC going to send my petition to the frickin' NVC?!" I came home to this:

attachicon.gifSENATOR LETTER.jpg

I did NOT contact her staff to get an update on my case going to NVC, perhaps they asked to be updated whenever there's an update with the case? I'll call and ask tomorrow...

How long did it take for you to hear from senator Gilibrand office? I emailed and faxed my letter a little over a week ago. And how long after u contacted her office did u see noa2 approval. Thanks

I called my congressman's office before and was informed we were approved! No change in status in the USCIS website nor next notice but the person who had been helping me called back and was told that we were approved over the weekend (which means that missed call from USCIS was about that) and that the case would be sent to the NVC.

I want to thank everyone on this thread, you've been a fantastic source of support and information. Anyone still waiting for their NOA2 definitely contact your local congressperson or senator if you haven't done so already. Every case is different and every state is different but it's a big help. Good luck!

Congrats

Just spoke to the senator's office. 2 weeks ago they told me my file would be pulled to be processed and to call them back if after 2 weeks I didn't hear anything. I called today exactly after 2 weeks and the case manager who was very polite told me that now that TSC has changed their processing time to December 17th, I was no longer considered as being outside processing time and thus there wasn't much they could do anymore. However she will still contact TSC to find out what they will do now about my application. I'm so depressed right now words can't even express the abuse I'm feeling ? she even said she knows about VJ and not to trust everything I read and cases are differents etc etc oh boy will this ever end?!!!!!!?

I can relate. I too am feeling depressed. On June 14th my congressman was told that my case would be in someone's hand the upcoming week, well about a month later...and nothing. My congressman aide said last Monday he would request an update and get back to me when he hears from the tsc. No news still. After my expedite being denied and the change in processing times and well the lies of the tsc I feel completely defeated.

Great. Thanks. I hope to hear from them next week. Things are really time sensitive for me. My ffiance will be restricted from traveling early next year and I just can't seem to make progress with approval. I initially contacted my congress man and he heard back from tsc a month ago and still no noa2. I really hope Gilibrand can make advances for me I am running out of time :-(

so my fiance contacted 2 senators and 1 congressman. 1 senator ignored his letter completely, 1 senator replied with some polite words like immigration is important for them blah blah. and the congressman representative replied quickly, and looks like the's interested in us :) this is what she told my fiance:

"I contacted the TSC and the case was Pulled on the 10th and is on its way to an officer to get worked. I will call again on Friday!"

The status of this service request is:

On July 1, 2014, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-129F Petition for Alien Fiancée to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.

We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

Can anybody who has had the same email from the USCIS give me some feedback on what this 'actually' means please. I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I got exactly the same email. Don't have any information besides that they need to complete security checks and until they are complete nothing will happen to the case. I posted this under a separate topic and one of the forum members replied to me that they had the same email and it took about a month for them to receive an approval after this email. She (the beneficiary) thinks that additional security checks were done because she previously worked in US and had SSN. This makes sense and applies to my fiance... So we are waiting......

So it means that it is being worked on at the least........????

On top of this service request 'dead end', the USCIS wrote back to my Congressman stating a 30 day decision on the application. The deadline for this is this coming Saturday. I suppose it's still worth a call on Monday????

Thank you for the reply....

Rich- I would call sometime next week... perhaps on Wednesday if you don't hear.

I'm seriously going stir-crazy over here with waiting. My fiance isn't planning on coming over immediately (we're hoping for POE before thanksgiving - which seems reasonable for a January filing), but I just want him to be able to book tickets already and move over here!

I've been living out of luggage since 2nd January. Sold the house, etc etc and renting a room......I know how you feel about going nuts.

This is dragging on a lot longer than even I thought it would.
