Hello everyone,

I had contacted my senator about the case & i received this as an email today:

"Thank you for sharing your concerns with me. I appreciate your taking the time to bring this immigration matter to my attention.

In an effort to be of assistance, I have brought the information you presented to the attention of the USCIS. I have requested a review of this matter and a written response from their office.

As soon as I have something further to report, I will contact you again."

Has anyone else received anything similar? What does this mean?

THANKS!

Yes, Gillibrand!

But I sent the request about a month ago, they called me a week after I faxed over the authorization & they told me they would follow up within 3 weeks. Today was 3 weeks & that's the email I got. I don't understand what that means.

Ugh, when I said that's 5.5 months I meant 6.5. Stupid typo and then it posted it twice...

I'm also aware that they are a month/2 months behind when posting the data, but that won't help when trying to make a congressional inquiry because that'll be the data given to anyone who calls in, so it's essentially screwing anyone who has an NOA2 of late december or later, when technically, 5 months is now people in february. Another excuse for them to continue to do nothing.

you are right - it does impact the people who have an NOA1 date after December 17. Especially those who are just reaching the 5 month mark (feb filers). Luckily, you still have a few months before you request a congressional inquiry. let's hope that things are back on track by then!

I got a call from Schumer's office today (remember he is on the Immigration Senate Sub-Committee). His office said he has asked for a review of why its taking so long. I did not mince any words with the person who called (of course making sure she understood it wasnt HER fault).

She also indicated that I-129f's are taking a YEAR to be approved!! I about fell down. I said is THIS how USC's are treated in this country? She said she agreed and is going to have my case 'looked at' and will get back to me.

An enquiry from the TSC elicited a wait two months more response (that would make it 7 months). This is just plain ridiculous!!

I know I still have a few months until my 5 month mark, so maybe this admitting that they're behind will do something. Regardless, my state rep is adamantly against illegal immigrants & wants those filing legally to not have to wait-he was on the news last week for it. I wrote him a letter after seeing it, describing the situation with Texas being so far behind on k1 visas, how I'm going through the process, am well aware that I'm still within processing time, but don't feel it's right to keep couples apart & that I don't feel it's right that at the rate they're going, I won't see my fiancé until next year. I gave statistics & mentioned this forum, even citing the website. I got a letter back today saying that he would contact uscis about the discrepancy between the two service centers & let me know when he hears back from them. Also not to hesitate to call his office. So...there's hope there, that even if come September they're still doing this, he will help.

Hopefully all the recent congressional inquiries actually fix the situation...

I am the petitioner.

I think the lady is mistaken. I cannot believe that it will take us a year...definitely MORE than half a year unfortunately. This is a complete mess!!!

I submitted story idea to CNN. Not sure if it will help. Don't know how November and December filers are dealing with the wait. Sorry for venting, but this has been a very very long journey for me. I miss my fiancé so much. Yes, we talk every day, but it's not enough. We are missing on so much from each other's lives. He is definitely worth waiting for, but why should we wait so long? The difference between both service centers is staggering.

I am thinking Fox News (Cable) not local Fox News would be better...they keep talking about the IRS fudging, the VA fudging of govt records and not this.....sounds like a pattern to me

Hey everyone!

So! My Senator contacted me today. They have been on TSC for about a week and a half. As soon as they received my privacy release form and NOA1, they set out on TSC like piranhas! My Senator's office called and told me that my case had been pulled and was in transit to an officer. I said "Dont be fooled!" They probably say that to Senators to let them know something is moving with my case...when in reality, they either lost it or can't find it. She called again 4 days later (Monday).....they told the same story "in transit to an officer." When my Senator told me this, I laughed and said, "WOW! His desk must be VERY far away for it to travel 4 days to a desk!! Maybe he's in another state hahaha". My Senator sent them an e-mail yesterday (Tuesday) and DEMANDED they process my application expeditiously since it is one month overdue. They are calling TSC back today to follow-up on the e-mail. I really love my Senator's office....they are so helpful.

She also explained not to bother with the call center. When Senators call the USCIS, they speak to Congressional Senators WITHIN THE USCIS!!!! They dont talk to reps or officers! So the call centers dont have the same information as those guys (Congressional Senators of the USCIS) do. Hope this information helps!

I just wrote about how TSC is super backed up, that CSC is processing applications very fast and it isn't fair. That USCIS is keeping families apart, ruining relationships, etc.

Essentially the same cr@p we talk about on here. :)

Again, I know I'm only a few months in...but it affects me too-down the road. Perhaps if enough people write to cnn they'll cover it, which would help. I'll write to them when I get home from work. Citing statistics, of course. It can't hurt...

I am the petitioner.
