We got a letter from the congressman saying he has inquired at TSC about our case and is expecting an answer back soon. Fingers crossed :( It's been almost 6 months, surely it should be arriving soon?!

I bet all of you do the same thing I do: wake up in the morning and immediately check my phone for a notification or e-mail. Or even check it in the middle of the night :rolleyes:And then another 18-25 times during the day..

I am pulling for you, @alissacarly!!! We are approaching the 6 month mark as well, on July 9th. I contacted one Senator who had someone assigned to my case who basically said..."who cares about California? It doesn't pertain to you, and your case is within normal processing time." My case was received by USCIS January 9th, so we have a similar timeline, you and I. :) I contacted my other Senator who assigned me to a sweetheart who not only e-mailed but CALLED on the same day, asking to fax over the privacy release and the NOA1, because it's definitely NOT OKAY and that they were, in fact, outside of the normal processing time of 5 months. Told her the story of the runaround, the different wait times those reps give you and how the December 3rd is a ploy. She is going to CALL and investigate! I'm hoping to hear good news from my Senator as well! Let us know what happens with your Senator, Alissa!!

You know.....we wait so long, and the fact we have to get Senators involved from so many states on the East Coast, should totally send up a red flag to the higher ups in government! #ThereIsSomethingWrongWithTSC

P.S. Can we please have a service center in one of the great states of New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, or Florida? Like a nice fast moving state? ;) I bet the processing time might be just as fast as Cali.

Hello. I too have 5 months and 1 week of waiting. I put through both a service request as well as a Senator inquiry. The latter said to wait six months before calling his office which will be in three weeks time. THEN they will do an inquiry. This is really very upsetting.

You're New York. Call Sen. Gillibrand. They will help you @ 5months. GO here http://www.gillibrand.senate.gov/services/casework/ and fill out the Immigration Privacy Release form and fax it in. Her office was so helpful to me and was super responsive!

Just received an email from USCIS:

"We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.

We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.

We hope this information is helpful to you."

Not sure if we should be happy that maybe someone actually looked at our case or not happy since we have no idea how long it might take. Any feedback? Thank you!!!!

I'm curious why they sent you an email ? did you put a service request ? I hope this is not one of those new tactics they employ to stall us further (Dec 3rd is being one of them).

The service request was created due to my senator's inquiry. I couldn't create it on my own as we all know their excuse of processing 12/3 cases. This waiting game is killing me.

NY Senator's Office said wait until 6 month post receipt. Today I got an email from USCIS an officer is 'actively' reviewing my case..,, while under 5 months of dust perhaps?

The USCIS letter said to wait 60 days MORE before checking again. That would make it 7 months .,, wow is all I can say

I got this email yesterday from my service request anyone else received this message?

The status of this service request is:

" On 06/22/2014, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I129F to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your case is currently pending. All cases are worked in the order they are received. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 90 days of this letter, please contact customer service."

I hope I don't have to wait another 90 days ?
