Been lurking for awhile, but decided to officially join once we got some good news. Essentially 180 days to the date, the NOA2 finally came. Got a text/email around midnight last night. Someone at TSC was working late.

You are correct it is January 17 not June 17 for my NOA1. June 17 is actually my birthday so it was on my mind.

I just called USCIS - told them that I tried to do a request online & didn't let me even though my application is 5 months & 2 days.

They told me that it depends on the number of applications before you to determine the processing time. So I asked, what is the processing time for my application? "I do not have that information."

So I thanked her for letting me know that I have to wait indefinitely Great customer service!

I called and talked to a Tier 1 officer. I was told the Dec 3rd script all over again and asked to talk to a Tier 2. I put in a call back number and just get off the phone with him. He put in a service request for me and told me that after 2-3 weeks I should see an email from TSC. I'm 5 months 2 weeks in.

2 weeks ago I did the same and was told to call back because apparently, 5 months 1 day is still within the processing time. Try again today without much hope but I guess, it's my lucky day today.

Yeah... That's why I decided to contact my local representative and senator. The lack of information wasn't helpful!

Well we got the lucky email and txt today as our visa was finally approved by TSC. Our NOA1 was on June 17. I put in a E-Request in back on the 22nd, and I emailed my senator on the 25th.I am not sure what did it but I wanted to give you some hope that this long nightmare is almost over. Good luck to everyone and just hang in there it will be over soon.

Thanks. I did put in an e-request last week, but took someone's advice to just put December 2013 as the receive date. My e-request was accepted, and I got back a response saying I should get a status update by middle of July. Instead of getting that update, I received the NOA2. I wonder if I will still get some response back about the e-request.

I just spoke to Tier 2 representative (waited for call back for 1.5 hours). They told me that I have a service request (was it created because of my senator's inquiry???) and there should be a response by July 8th. I am not exactly sure what it means, so keeping my fingers crossed for next week.....

I must confess, I did that exact thing today. They issued an service request number and sent an email to acknowledge receipt.

Will now wait and see as I am 5 months + 1 day today.
