So I am going to send a message to all of the depressed folks who have either crossed the five months or are going to cross the five month mark with no development. Lets no lose hope, just focus at the end result. Several times I want to give up. We just crossed our five months and I am sad, but I wont lose hope yet.

I just visited her for a week in India and it was amazing till the moment she dropped me at the airport. It becomes worse every time we have to say goodbye to each other and now we live off the pictures she took of every moment. Its horrible to come to work and not go back home to someone who loves you. I know it sucks, but I am not going to give up and neither should any of us.

I have contacted the senator and congressman and no progress yet. Like others I also got the whole "Dec 3rd" cr*p. It isn't fair, but what else do we do now. Lets just pray for no further delays. God speed to those who got it and lets be the force to others.

I started coming to this forum to find hope and I did get some in the beginning, but then started getting upset as I didn't see any development. That was my mistake, we here are the January family and we stick for each other. Lets take a moment and say kudos to all of us who have already endured 5 months plus all the time before we had to leave our loved months. Lets take a moment to appreciate the tenacity and patience. Remember the longer end of the road is over, we have endured for so long, we can stick it out now to the end. Giving up is not an option!

The visits...I know those are hard, so far I've had my fiance here 3 times and I'm not sure I can bear it to say good bye again. The worst part is going back home alone and living life without him. I lose motivation to do anything and everything for about a week or so, though this past trip it was more like two weeks. No cleaning, no food shopping, going to work is depressing, I just didn't care for much. I still kind of don't, but for the sake of out future life together I know I can't completely fall apart. I tried to be hopeful, I really did, not being alone in this helped a lot. I went in hoping that it might take AT MOST 5 months, but seeing CSC filers that filed after me filing for AOS...now I've turned to apathy because it's just easier that way. In the meantime I've gathered all the paperwork he'll need from me for packet 3 and the interview, it's about 90 pages of paperwork!!

Nice Speech. we have very similar timelines. Where is your fiance in india? Mine is in gujarat.

You're right in encouraging people not to give up hope. I take a look at the bright side (and yes, there are many bright sides).

We have been away from our significant other for a long time, but just think about all the time you will spend together once this is over.

Also, this is just a 7-9 month wait. In the grand scheme of things, its a small amount of time. You may spend 60-70 years together and one day look back and say it was a short wait.

also, think about the married people who have to wait longer in some cases. My cousin has been waiting for 2 years.

Finally, if you want to do stuff in the mean time, just gather paper work and prep the interview portfolio. This will help you to stay active in the process and help not to cause further delays.

Thanks, mine is in Punjab. I know and I focus on that future time. God that is so discouraging for the married couples. I doubt I would have survived. But who knows, I didn't think I would survive this long and I have.

I have already gathered all the info and gave it to her this trip, now the ball is in her court. Fingers crossed. I need a new hobby now :)

This is so unfair! CSC is approving cases in less than a month. What have we done wrong to be punished by TSC like this?! Me too, I haven't seen my fiance for over a year now, and it's causing some problems. You all know how hard long distance relationship is.

Thank you for the encouragement, Masenko. It can be difficult to keep a positive attitude while waiting for the NOA2 – especially after passing the “5 month” point. I’m a week away from 6 months and was told this week that I needed to wait “another 30 days” before a USCIS customer service representative could give me any additional information about my case. My senator inquired on my behalf and received a response from TSC – but I feel like there are so many people going that route that it doesn’t really speed things up anymore.

However, that being said – I definitely don’t feel hopeless. I think this process has been more difficult for my fiancé (beneficiary). He is in the position of knowing that he is moving here but not having any definite dates. People are always asking him about moving and wedding plans – I think he gets tired of not being able to give a definite answer. And out of the two of us…he is definitely the one more driven by emotions.

At the same time - what doesn't kill TSC filers, makes them stronger! We all gonna get through this! We're strong! We'll get our NOA-2's soon!

Hey guys!

I just called USCIS customer service because today marks 5 months and 1 day since my NOA1 and wedding planning is making me batty.

The girl I talked to was really nice.

I did get some similar information to what y'all have been saying over the past few weeks; she said that as of June 3 they were processing December 5, 2013 applications. I told her that I was aware that customer service had been saying this for several weeks now, and asked if they only worked on I129-F's one day a month, or how accurate was the information. She said that the service centers don't update the "currently processing" dates regularly; just around the first week of the month. SOOO. For us January folks, if we don't hear by say July 7 or so, it would be fair game to call and ask again at that point.

Anyway. If that doesn't help me with anything, I'm going to see if my elected officials can help but I'm really questioning if it's actually helpful to have them attempt to intervene. I think USCIS does whatever the eff they want, when they want to do it.

So. If I don't hear by July 7 at end of business, I'm going to contact Sen. Gillibrand's office (and Rep. Slaughter- my representative here in Rochester, apparently she can also provide assistance with immigration ####### - or so her website says).

Glad to see some fellow New Yorkers on here!

I really appreciated your message! We're all on similar dates as I see :)

I got a letter from my congress person Yvette Clarke, it was her office that placed an inquiry that led me to be approved. Just thought I'd share that.

Well I start to think they work just 1 day per month at I129-F. They keep saying "we work at December 3th" from over a month !!!! ..... RIP Texas ...
