I thought processing for Phillipines is expedited and has no bearing with the normal processing timeline at all? If that's the case, you can't conclude processing for January has started.

Also, why would folks who are going thru expedites post things here when the normal timelines do not apply to them?

5 months hardly counts as an expedite. Not even a little bit.

And to answer your second question, because they can. Expedites can be happy too, and we can be happy for them. Keep in mind that their situation might not be the greatest if they have to request an expedite.

Did y'all see an April filer from Austria just got approved? No expedite! Let's hope this means TSC are finally moving (although this could be a random one off) and we'll be next!

I say 'we', I mean you guys first of course, I'm only a March filer hijacking your thread, you've been waiting longer than me! (but secretly I don't mean that and I want to be next hahaha)

Just called USCIS. Got the same response - cases from December 3rd are being reviewed and current processing time for Texas is 6 to 7 months. I was also told that I have to wait 45 days until I can file a service request. Asked to be transferred to 2nd tier of support and wait time was 60 minutes, so I signed up for call back. I was called back within 20 minutes, customer service rep was very rude and hung on me in the middle of me asking her a question. Very frustrating.

I don't need money, all I want is all our 5+ month petitions to go through !!

Hilarious!!!

It so helps to know that others are in the same boat and feeling all the things I am feeling. I just saw someone who got approved in 11 days. OK so forgive me please but I just need to vent... this person actually wrote in a thread from 2013, titled fastest approval ever, or something like that. The thread was dead, but they was so excited that they must have looked up fastest approval time ever, just to see if they broke a record, and wrote in that thread. And hells, they SHOULD be excited! It just makes me so mad, the injustice!!!!! I would probably have done the same thing if I was approved in 11 days, because I wouldn't be aware of the hardships others are going through, cos after 11 days it's not like you can empathise really.

I just hate the discrepancy, hate that I have to wait this long, hate that I am approaching 4 months of waiting and hate that it will prob be another 3 months before I see movement in my case. I could be wrong, and be chosen next like that April filer I just wrote about, but we all know how unlikely that is. Grrrrr!!!

Thank you so much for that and I also believe that 5 months is in no way an expedite, besides they stopped expedites on Philippines petitions.

and I agree those who expedited their petitions had real good reasons to do so, so even though it was hard, I still was happy for them.

I believe this is the month for all January filers, some have gone through and most are still going through this TSC nightmare.

I will be extremely happy when I start to see a large amount of Jan filers get their NOA 2, because I know how hard it is to wait for it to come, since I have only just received it.

Just called and got the same answer as well. The date they gave us was Dec 9th, also they said we have to wait for 41 more days.

Keep calling everyday & when they're rude tell them you'd be fired if you worked so slow at your job. & they should put in some overtime. Hell, I'll volunteer too. I'd work my job & evenings there if it meant I could get through the back log. There's no reason for them to be so rude. Keep pestering , maybe they'll all get so annoyed they'll actually start to work.

I am the petitioner.
