I am glad to see I am not the only one thinking this (I suspected I wasn't). Granted, you January folks are in it longer than I have been but I am also seeing threads on someone who just entered the country at POE after 78 days from NOA1. Good for them, but even I am 20 days beyond that still waiting for NOA2...I can only imagine how you folks in Dec, Jan and Feb feel.

I am all for someone expressing joy about their NOA2 in their respective thread for the month they filed, but to start a new thread about how fast they were approved is a bit much and tends to rub salt in wounds that are very obvious on the forum. Oh, and the ones that jump in to the TSC threads and boast about how fast they were approved gets my goat also. It didn't used to, but the longer I go seeing all the fast approvals while I (we) still wait is really becoming annoying. No...I will just say it...it is really pissing me off. They do nothing more to prepare than we do, nothing extra special, they do not pay 3 times the amount for rush service...absolutely nothing, yet get approved 3-5 times faster. It is soooo blatantly wrong. Ok, I am done....for now.

I truly hope you January filers start seeing your approvals roll in :)

I don't mind if they post their own gloating threads, I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing if I got approved in record time...just don't come posting that stuff in a thread where people are sad and frustrated. I really don't get how hard it is to look a few posts and figure out what kind of atmosphere the topic has before posting.

So that part there that I bolded from your post, I'm not sure if anyone else brought this up but I think I know part of the problem.

You know the map you posted in this topic? Well take a look at this map! This is the US population by state. Go look back at your map, then this one.

TSC got the short end of the stick, by far!

Yeah, you are right. I had posted about the higher population in the eastern part of the country in another post and was going to do some sort of overlay but ran out of steam :). I think they thought about that though which is evident in my map. They (CSC) pulled in OH, IN, IA, WI, MI and IL which are clearly east but the numbers are still much higher for TSC. Combine the fact of the higher population and taking all of VSC's petitions and it really handicapped TSC. USCIS basically handed them bricks rather than buckets to bail out the boat...

I speak from experience and not off an emotional cuff. I worked with several federal agencies over many years and was married to a department head at yet another government agency so I know what I am talking about. I have no doubt that some work very hard, but I also know that many do not and it basically takes an act of Congress to fire dead weight within the government. They know this and take advantage of it, so my comment stands.

I agree..plus I think many are missing the point here. A government has to be RESPONSIVE to its citizens. We are USC being treated in an inconsistent manner with NO WAY of getting to the reviewers. While I get that this would take up their valuable time, the call center is totally substandand.

I understand that the fees for thr I-129f are going up for new applicants July 1st. This is the inly entiity that charges MORE for less. WITH no accounability.

They Center relies on the reality that once the USC gets approval of the I-129f, memories are short and this experience is soon forgotten with the entire process of further processing ie embassy stuff etc and the process of LIVING LIFE, that they know no one will sign a petition or other to change the process

Just reality!!

I also work for a federal agency. My agency has little-to-no problems getting rid of dead weight. I've seen 12's and 13's removed or driven out. Maybe my experience isn't typical, but it is federal. I'll accept your comment but will say "your mileage may vary."

I could not see any information regarding fee changes for the I-129F from July 1st.

Could you please provide an official link? Unless this is just a rumour?

i followed up with my senator's office today because it has been close to two weeks since i sent in the request for their assistance with my petition (put in the request right before i left to visit my fiance!). the lady i spoke with today said the USCIS had not yet responded to their inquiry...and that the USCIS usually responds within 30 days.

is it common for a senator's office to also receive the "wait 30 days for a response" from the USCIS on the service request/inquiries that they perform on our behalf? for anyone who has contacted a senator...does this sound normal based on your own experiences?

So like a month ago I was complaining to a family member about all of this TSC and CSC stuff. They went and told some other extended family member about it and it turns out I have an uncle who is a brother to the son of my grandfather's second wife that works for USCIS at Federal Plaza in NYC. I was able to speak to him and I asked if he could find out what the heck is happening at TSC if he was able to somehow. He said he would try but made no promises. Today he called me back and told me these things:

  • TSC's #1 priority at the moment is I-130s.
  • TSC's processing times are merely "goals", which basically doesn't mean squat.
  • TSC is taking about 6-7 months with I-129Fs, at the moment. (see bullet point #1)
  • TSC's processing times for I-129Fs will get better after a certain amount of I-130s are completed (who knows when...)

I'll take all this with a grain of salt, but I don't think he would lie to me. We'll find out when they release the dashboard data next week!

That confused me! I had to map it out in my head :content:

While it's frustrating that I-129F's are EXTREMELY backlogged at TSC. I am really glad we have some sort of information from the inside. It makes sense that they are prioritizing I-130's considering they are for immediate relatives. BUT, with that being said, I STILL think the East coast petitions should be equally dispersed between TSC and CSC so it's not an 8,000 vs 4,000 backlog  thus equalizing the processing times of 2 months vs 6-7 months.

I am eager to see the data next week. I'm going to update my little spread sheet in my signature that has TSC vs CSC
