Hi :) I'm not a January filer as my NOA1 date is February 11 but I've been following this discussion for awhile. I hope it's ok if I join this thread, I tried starting a February TSC discussion but it's been a few days and so far no responses. I have been avoiding the February filer thread because everyone in there has received their NOA2 and it's been depressing reading about interview dates and medicals when I'm not at that stage yet. I just need a support system to help me get me through this process :(

Yes you are more than welcome. I feel your frustration, I only check this site once in awhile and my fiancee and I try not to focus on this whole k1 business. This is a great support system, with lots of knowledgeable people who are willing to help. I my self have been dealing with my fiancee who occasionally cries and gets really really sad because we have been apart from each other now almost 9 months and it looks like we will be apart from each other another 2 months or more the way things are moving. I want to go visit her again, but it's so expensive to purchase two tickets for me and my 3 year old son. The air line charge him a full adult ticket. So we wait and wait. I am the person that keep everything positive and it's my duty to make and keep her happy secure safe and content. And in return she does the same for me. Just because I am a man does not mean I don't cry or feel sad sometimes. And when I am dealing with sadness she sees it right away and pick me back up. That's the Time she needs to be strong and she does an excellent job. You see, during this whole long distance relationship we have grown to know each other very very well. I know when she is sad or happy and she knows when I am sad or happy. We finish each other sentences and she don't even have to say anything sometimes and I know what she is thinking and vice versa.

I believe this whole process is a test and this is the perfect opportunity to truly get to know each other and not take anything for granted. Our NOA2 is on its way, it's just not knowing when and the way USCIS process these petitions. People who filed after us are already at the interview stage or already here with there loved ones. It makes you frustrated angry and confused as to why people who filed in March or April or even in February has completed or almost completed the process already. It makes you insecure about your own petition. You start asking questions to yourself wondering whats wrong with your petition, did I send enough proof did I sign where I supposed to sign. You start thinking of every bad thing you have done when you were a teenager even though you never been arrested. Seeing others who get approved way before you who have filed after you makes and the fact you have no idea when you will get your NOA2, because USCIS never tell you the truth, together with the fact you have been away from your loved one for many many months makes this whole process difficult to deal with.

So I stay strong positive and smile every time I see my beautiful angel even if I am sad and missing her sooooo much, I show her my smile, because I rather spend my days and nights talking laughing having fun with her as opposed to crying and fighting over when will we get approved. And she loves me soooo much for that and I love her soooo much for appreciating me and being sooo patient during this whole process.

There is light at the end of the tunnel. This process calls for the P word PATIENTS.

I wish you and your loved one the best during this process and everyone else on VJ. Thank everyone here for their support and please remember when times get tough and you find yourself sad and missing your loved one soooo much. Think about your future together think about this is just a short time away from each other. We have our whole lives to be together, and that my friends Keep me going and keep a smile on my face and in my heart.

Good luck to all.

I just found this topic, it's awesome! All the approvals in the regular 'January K-1 filers' thread were bumming me out <_< It's been 4 months and 2 days since my NOA1, I'm starting to get excited about the 22nd of June, when my fiance is going to call the UCSIS and hopefully put in a service request. I really doubt I'll be approved by then anyway, since they haven't touched my file since January..

Our journey so far:

13 Aug '14: Packet 3 received, completed the DS-160 form.

15 Aug '14: Sent Packet 3 back to the consulate.

21 Aug '14: Packet 4 received with interview date.

02 Sep '14: Medical examination.

16 Sep '14: Interview --> APPROVED!!

20 Sep '14: Passport with visa returned.

I just realised today it's 4 months since we filed our I-129F petition! Our 5 month mark is only 4 weeks away.
Does anyone know if December has had at least 90% completed?

And are there a large amount of October and November filers still waiting?

Good luck everyone!

based on igor's list, it looks like December is still sitting around 50%. TSC has been working Nov/Dec petitions since I joined VJ five months ago! haha. but seriously, if you sort igor's list on "approved petitions" you will see that most of the TSC Dec filers with NOA2s received it in Jan/Feb 2014. then the massive slow down hit. i am very happy to be close to the 5 month mark - we will finally have some power in advancing the progress of our petition.

Could the people who have received their NOA2 and haven't updated their timeline, please update it? I know you are excited, but the community uses these for monitoring purposes.

There's been a few people saying in other threads that January and February filers still have another 4 - 5 months to go. I hope this isn't the case. I did number crunching not too long ago and I saw that in March 2014 TSC approved less than 250 petitions a week

i hope 5 more months is not accurate information! maybe they meant 5 more months from now to the interview?

yeah, i think the real slow down at TSC started in march. seems like they have maybe two people adjudicating I-129s these days!? haha.

oh my, I do hope "still another 4-5 months to go" is NOT going to happen. Naive me hopes that January filers will be approved within summer months, or by the end of the summer for sure. I don't know why, but I set this time limit for myself as means of positive thinking :P:clock:

I mean... Tomorrow it's 4 months since our NOA-1, and I refuse to believe (as naive as it may sound, but still I always believe in good) that it will take 8 months or so for NOA-2. Waiting cannot last forever! :protest:

8 months for NOA2 is not unheard of; those who filed around 2011/2012 had to wait about that long, I hope that doesn't happen for us though!

My fiance came and went with no NOA2, it's what we expected but not what we wanted  Good byes are so hard, that better be the last one!

How many in the December filers thread actually left?

I don't go by Igor's list because I have monitored it for 2 months and noticed that regardless of December filers being approved and updating their timeline, Igor's list hasn't removed them from the awaiting NOA2 list, so the graph would not be accurate either.
