Anyone can tell me how to track your case reaching NVC? Is it calling a number, what would that be? Is it a site? Or is it the case check on USCIS website? Thanks in advance

There's no way to track your file to the NVC, only when it leaves the NVC to be sent to your embassy. The only way to know if NVC has it yet is to call.

You would need to call them at 603-334-0700. I would suggest to start calling them at 7am EST as you would have a better chance to get through. If you get a busy signal, just keep redialing. If you call after 7am be prepared to be on hold for 30 minutes until you get to speak with an agent. They will ask you for your USCIS Receipt # to see if you case has been received. I started calling them few days after I received an email from USCIS that my case was shipped to NVC.

01/14/14 I -129F Petition sent
01/17/14 Petition received
01/22/14 NOA1 - TSC
06/23/14 Service Request created after congressional inquiry
07/03/14 Email from USCIS - our case is on processing hold due to pending security checks
08/04/14 No update from USCIS. Filed a case with CIS Ombudsman
08/05/14 Senators/Congresswoman cannot help with my case because security checks are pending
08/05/14 Another Service Request created by Tier 2 since no response from TSC.
08/18/14 Email from USCIS in response to second service request - still on processing hold due to pending security checks
08/21/14 NOA2 (finally after 7 months)

08/25/14 Email from USCIS - approved case shipped to NVC on 8/22/14

09/02/14 Case received by NVC

09/04/14 Case # assigned by NVC

09/05/14 In transit to the Embassy

09/09/14 Case received by Tbilisi Embassy - ready for interview

Thanks, just for kicks will try them today, not at hoping to get anything, but OCD has kicked in. Thanks

I have a question about Divorce decree in the US. The package 3 instruction asked for "original and copy" of this. I only have the "certified copy with raised seal" from the county clerk office. My understanding is that the court keeps the original copy and I won't be able to obtain this.

Is the "certified copy with raised seal" ok for the interview ?

Mine said that too. Not sure why. But yes, the next step is NVC. Mine didn't even have a consulate listed. Must be a generic message.

Yesterday we had our interview, and we were approved. We spent most of the time waiting around as the lady that we saw first that took all our documents put our case under a different number, and then when we went up for the actual interview part the "error" was discovered and so then we had to wait for them to fix that, which felt like it took soooo much time. But when we went up the second time we were asked hardly anything it seemed, and then she handed me the little slip of paper that said that we were approved. I was so so so so happy! Now to organise moving!

Hopefully within the next week sometime - most of my stuff is already packed and has been in storage .. so I just need to cull it some more and then send it off. Karl came with me to the interview, and is going home today, I'm sending a couple of suitcases full of things back with him which means even less stuff for me to pack - mostly clothes. I have too many clothes.

Wow, that's soon! :) I bet you have lots to do now then, with packing and finishing up things there! I hope all goes well for you.

I have the same problem, too many clothes and shoes! Also put lots of stuff in his suitcase twice, but I keep buying more clothes <_<

There really isn't that much left to do. I contacted some removalists here and asked about transporting the boxes from Australia to the US, and I am really quite happy with the quote that they gave me - it is only marginally more than it cost me to move a couple of suburbs over about 6 months ago. I feel like I got ripped off then! Apparently my passport is out for delivery now, so I should have that in my hot little hands by this afternoon, and then I'll go book my flight for next week, and confirm with the removalists. Then it's just cancelling a bunch of stuff - phone, internet, etc (And as I was typing this, the courier delivered my passport, yay!) I am just way too excited now!
