I do not think the petitions are looked at randomly !!! I believe when they arrive they are opened and they look at where the petitioner and beneficiary are from and genders of each.

Im male from the UK so not too much risk.

I also believe how you present the package may help ;-)

Have any of you travelled to the US after getting NOA1? Did you have any problems with the entrance to the US? I'm planning to go next month and I wanted to ask you if it's safe!

My fiance came to the US twice so far since NOA1, and he'll be back again. No issues, each encounter took less than 5 minutes.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know what he told the officer when they asked him why he's visiting?

He says he said "to visit my Fiancee". He said they didn't ask about a K1 or proof of ties, all they asked for was his return ticket.

My package had a cover letter, numbered pages and paper clips to organize the sections, it should have been an easy read. On the bright side I got my NOA1 dated from the day after I sent it. I suppose that gave me false hope.

If you read the interview with an abjucator ( I can't remember where I saw it but a good read) I think it has more to do with whether there are criminals with the same surname, then you go for extra checks. I think my petition is straight forward but still I wait.

If petitioner does not work or beneficiary then i believe extra checks have to happen plus if the beneficiary comes from a risk country its only right that more checks are needed to see if its genuine.

I don't think it's the case. I believe my application is almost flawless:

1/ Both are working and making very good salary.

2/ My background is cleared (constantly checked due to the nature of my job)

3/ Tons of pictures, met multiple times

The only issue is she's from VN but check applies to the petitioner so I'm not sure how that plays out.

Yup no criminal record for either of us, good working record.

We even lived together overseas for over a year, and worked. I sent lots of pictures and plane tickets for evidence.

I've seen people from high risk countries come through quickly as well.

I would be happy with a good explanation of what the order in which they process is. It would make the wait a lot more bearable.

Here's a helpful link. I found a way to filter out the transfers (to other service centers) which appear in Igor's list. This search brings up all the people in the TSC with NOA2 in order, newest first.

Hey guys, can you take a second to check out this thread by Sweetswinks? It's about the Igor's List issue where CSC filers end up on the TSC approval list. If that issue is cleared up, our estimates would be so much more accurate, this needs to get fixed!! If we all whine about it maybe they'll do something about it!!

Can we fix Igor's List please?

I don't know about you all but I'm tired of getting my hopes up over quick approvals.
