I leave for the U.S. next week. Any advice to calm my nerves and emotions?!

Knowing that it's only 9 days away has made me very jittery, excited, and a whole bunch of different emotions. Saying goodbye to my parents is tough. But most of all, I am really looking forward to seeing my fiancé, 2014 has been a tough year.

Multiquote was being a real jerk and it didn't want me to include your post

Anyway, the other day I was thinking about when I have to drive my fiance back here and I had an "oh sh-t" moment because omg it's finally happening for us after 9 years. He doesn't have to leave me again when I go to get him. Like he gets to stay. AND I GOT SCARED AND NERVOUS FOR SOME REASON. I guess that's normal, it's a big life changing event! It helps to think that you're going to be with the one you want to spend your life with once and for all, after going through the pain of being separated for so long. No more dreading the day you leave (or he leaves), I'm sure he can't wait for you to get here so you can start your lives together. I can't wait for my fiance to get here so I can help him begin his life here, support him while he looks for work (and beyond that too, but especially then!), and go through all the good times and bad times. Oh, and get married, that too! I bet your fiance feels the same way about having you come here, so relax! You guys get to tread through life together soon!

My fiance called there too and it says they are having technical differences and they have problems with inquiries... something like this.

I came across this email NVCInquiry@state.gov and told my fiance to write an inquiry. I hope soon we'll get some updates...

Yes I downloaded the folder last week, but can I send the packet3 to embassy if I didnt hear from them yet?

It depends on the embassy or consulate, with some embassies/consulates as long as they have the physical case logged you can send them Packet 3 before you receive it. You might want to check with other Italian K1 filers in the Europe subforum.

My fiance called there too and it says they are having technical differences and they have problems with inquiries... something like this.

I came across this email NVCInquiry@state.gov and told my fiance to write an inquiry. I hope soon we'll get some updates...

I meant to include their email in my reply, whoops! I emailed them twice and I actually never got a response either time.

Thank you for your reply! Well, it looks like NVC will take a while for us... since it's not possible to reach them via phone and they ignore emails

Did a representative tell you they were having technical difficulties? Because I just tried the phone number and miraculously got through on the first try.

What do you mean by representative? Like congressman representative that was helping us with NOA-2?

I don't know, maybe my fiance should just keep calling

Try calling way later, sometimes people call during the day and have no luck, then they call the next day and they're told it was created the day before! Calling after 8pm EST clears you of that possibility.
