The NVC assigned my case number the day after they received it. i remember them telling me "it takes 30 days to process" or something like that - but from what i have seen...the norm is no more than 1-2 days to assign the case number after it is received. some are assigned a case number the day it is received.

Maybe try calling them again on Monday night to see if there have been any updates.

Yeah I'll call them Monday night thanks for the info.

I leave for the U.S. next week. Any advice to calm my nerves and emotions?!
Knowing that it's only 9 days away has made me very jittery, excited, and a whole bunch of different emotions. Saying goodbye to my parents is tough. But most of all, I am really looking forward to seeing my fiancé, 2014 has been a tough year.

05-18-2022: Filed N-400 online. Received online NOA and Biometrics re-use.

06-03-2022: Interview scheduled (online notice).

06-10-2022: Interview letter received via USPS.

Good luck! I know it's hard & if you've never been here (my fiancé has never left Europe) it'll be unfamiliar. But just remember you're marrying someone who loves you enough to go through all this b.s. to bring you here!

I am the petitioner.

I will join the words already said + I want to say that it would be weird if you were not nervous and emotional, so it's pretty normal :) I think when I am leaving the country, I'd be excited as hell no matter how many times I am told to try to calm down and relax :P get the most out of this week and remember that now almost nothing separates you two. 7 days will go by very quickly and soon you'll be in his arms! :innocent:

CEAC shows Ready this morning ... ;) FYI, TSC mailed to NVC on July 25th so it's 2 weeks turn around at the moment !!

hope it stays that way!!!! really really really really really really really hoping that my noa2 arrives this week!!! I have not looked at igors list in a week because I just get really upset. But I have been looking around different receipt numbers and it seems like everyone around me has gotten an RFE or is still in initial review… very few were post decision. In a way I am thinking that it's not such a bad thing because I was worried that there was something wrong with my case, so maybe it is just who ever is doing our cases or however it works is just backed up (even more than the normal backlog). I don't know why I am trying to find answers for all of this, but I am trying to stay positive!

Hang in there!!! I know how you feel, my fiancé was trying to reassure me last night that security checks are a good thing - means they're working on our case. I had to explain they're a good thing when they take a day or two, not a month!!! I actually googled both of our last names to find out if we had any links to criminals, my surname is the same as someone who attacked someone else in the street hahaha, but I don't think that would cause it to be flagged on the FBI database! hahah

I'm going crazy!

Also, maybe the adjudicator is on vacation and has hoarded a box of cases on his/her desk? Hoping you hear something this week! I actually really hope we all hear something this week :-)

Guys, how do you contact DOS/NVC? my fiance tried calling DOS now on phone number from NVC Wiki - 202-485-7600 and was told they are having some technical difficulties...

We're just trying to find out if our petition arrived in DOS/NVC and if they assigned a case number to it.

Can he contact them by email? I mean, is there a chance they will reply quickly etc?
