Are we all thinking maybe approvals will happen in May?! :clock:

I read in another thread that a VJ user called USCIS and was told by a tier 2 officer that the processing times for TSC are 6-7 months and that 5 months is wrong, then apparently the officer hung up!

Are we seeing that here, 6-7months?!

On a side note, I wish other VJ'ers would have someone explain that the lockbox facility may be in Texas but it's not TSC lol *Just because your petition is at CSC does NOT mean it was transferred!*<_< Igor's list and estimates are so whacked because of it!

If it were taking more than 5 months, the processing times would have a date instead of a time frame, like this one showing VSC in 2006 http://www.chapman-immig.com/insreport.htm.

Yes but it may not have updated yet. I believe the times are updated in the middle of the month. I hope you are right but I have a sinking feeling about the wait.

Hi guys! I just stumbled onto this thread and I'm following now! The other day I was fed up and started a Texas Service Center thread and I feel like I got some answers on it. Unfortunately, they aren't really the ones I wanted to hear!

I'll post the link if you want to take a quick look:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/490380-texas-service-center/

I believe some of the posts have be referenced on this thread, actually.

TSC received my petition 12-27 and I received my NOA1 on 1-2.

I have been monitoring USCIS and VJ (too much) and it really looks like they are still processing a lot of November and October apps with occasional approvals from other random months. Wish my petition had fallen into an older box ;) That is what I visualize happening anyway!

My plan right now is to back off of checking. I am making myself mentally and emotionally sick stressing over something I have no control over and no current recourse. Hopefully I can stick to it. I am just going going to think more of a June approval date and hope I am wrong. The dates on the VJ timeline don't mean anything anymore due to a lot of them actually being at the CSC or being expedited cases. I do think I will check the processing times on USCIS in the next week to see what they updated to. I'm hoping they stay at 5 months!

Hoping for quick(er) approvals for us and all of you! I'll keep everyone posted! Good luck!

True, my bad -_-

I think that's when they also update the Dashboard: http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=6&office=5&charttype=1

That really gives you a perspective of just how many applications there are out there, and how all of us at VJ are just a small percentage.

Mo matter what, i feel good that the processing time is 5 months and i hope it stays that way. At least after 5 months, we have the right to take action.

That is true

5 months sounds about right is they are almost done with November.

It definitely seems to be the flow. If that is the case.... I guess it is what it is! I just hope it doesn't go longer.

There are 2 VJers in the November TSC thread who called USCIS and were told that it'd too early for them to raise a service request even though they have now reached the 5 month mark. They were told that there is a huge backlog and the 5month on the USCIS site is incorrect.

If November filers are still behind at TSC then that could mean us Jan filers are expecting a june/July approval.

There are people in the December filers thread contacting their congressmen already, and it's really tempting to do because people are apparently having some success but I would rather wait the 5 months. I feel like I would be the *one* caller they would whine at for not waiting the 5 months. Something in me is telling me to be patient, which is weird because I'm usually anything but patient <_<

I agree ... I will wait until my 5 month mark (mid June) and if nothing happens, I'll ask for help from the congressmen office. Good news is I'll see her in 1 week so it's not that much of a wait for me ...

Although I contacted my congress person early, I don't necessarily think it went badly. They have my information and they told me 5 months. So if it takes longer then 5 months I can complain right away.

All Other Pending = backlog of 5.5k+ petitions
Awaiting customer action = RFE"s
Completions = Completed petitions
Receipts = Petitions received that month
This hasn't been updated in quite some time, I wonder when they will ad February to it? That way we'll know how large the backlog has gotten.
