I'm happy to see so many January filers getting approved! Hopefully this means they'll keep at it & start doing February & get the backlog fixed...that would be nice.

Julie- I'm hoping y'all will get NOA2 before Halloween :)

Thank you! With the way things are going, I'll be thrilled with that...though originally I was hoping for 5 months which would give me hope that he'd be here by Christmas. Now I'm hoping for end of January...if his interview is next year, I'll book a flight out there (my vacation time starts again in January) & I'll go with him to the interview. Hopefully he'll be able to follow me back soon after:) though I'm still crossing my fingers for a miraculous 5 month approval...as long as a few speeding tickets from 5+ years ago don't tarnish my record, I'm completely clean & he's never been to the US, so there shouldn't be extra checks on him.

Regardless, I'm hoping for more approvals for all of you this week! Good luck everyone!!

Hey guys, we received our NOA1 on 2/25/14 and are getting very anxious now. But it seems like the average time between NOA1 and NOA2 for you January petitioners is around 6 months from what I've read, am I right?

I was really hoping for 5 months, but it seems that with the TSC backlog and the apparent "glitches" in the visa/passport system it's going to be quite a bit longer. Morale is getting kinda low for us. :(

Anyone have any advice or insight? Would be greatly appreciated.

I got this "On July 25, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly." When can I start contact NVC for an update ? Do I use the same TSC case number when I contact them ?

You can call NVC after a week or so, tell them your SRC number and they will tell you if it has arrived once they've verified your identity. Be sure to ask them for the NVC case number so that you can track it's status on CEAC

Hello All,

My file has finally reached the consulate and i had a question on the process. In the email it states, get your medical and PCC first and then schedule your interview appointment. I did not get the physical mail yet.

When I called them, the agent told me to schedule the interview first and then take the appointment letter to the medical and police.

So, what should I do; schedule the appointment or wait for the physical letter for more information?

Also, for whoever has had experience in this before, how long does it take for the physical letter to come?

I suppose it depends on the consulate. Montreal is the same way, you book interview first then schedule the medical, then you bring the confirmation to the medical. It might be better to ask this in the India VJ forum, I'm sure a lot of them have had this experience! Good luck! (Don't leave us January folk behind though :content: )

Thanks a lot for the india forum link. I've been looking for that but I was searching for a mumbai section instead of a general india section.

I will get that scheduled asap!
