I truly wonder if our cases were in a state like New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, or Florida....if they would be processed quicker. I mean, really....what's up with Texas? And why on the USCIS website does it say they are processing in 5 months, but then when you call they say you are still within "normal" processing time and to check back in a month or so? Ugh, so frustrating! I keep checking the numbers before me, hoping to see signs of life.....my number is SRC1490112XXX and nothing so far :( I also get frustrated at people who file after us and are getting their NOA2's and some...even interviews, all before us January files. Totally not fair. The person on the phone said they take them in the order they are received and I told her that was BS and that some countries are being put before others....and that the applications aren't proving that on this website. #prayforJanuaryfilers

What makes some senators/public officials help some people but not others? No work back from both senator and congress person 3 weeks have passed.

Been following this thread for a few days now and I figured I must ask my stupid question now.... We filed back in January, And I sent it to Texas (that's the only place to send it to, or that's what I was told, right?) so do the petitions get dispersed between Texas and California? I live in Vermont... Sorry this is a real dumb question, but after reading about all this California stuff and seeing how they are all getting processed so much faster it is making me wonder and super frustrated! Thanks!

hi!

yes, you are correct...everyone sends their application to the texas lockbox. from there they are routed to either the texas service center (different from the texas lockbox) or the california service center. the routing is generally based on the state of residence of the petitioner. east coast and southern states go to texas.
