The real smart gun that I approve of ...

If more citizens were armed, criminals would think twice about attacking them, Detroit Police Chief James Craig

Florida currently has more concealed-carry permit holders than any other state, with 1,269,021 issued as of May 14, 2014

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

The technology will happen, there's no doubt about that. The problem in instituting it will be the usual stumbling blocks of the NRA and the 2nd amendment. It's too bad because it could save a lot of lives. But as I've come to realize, lives are secondary when it comes to the gun aficionados.

A very ignorant, inflammatory remark.

What is - A person who likes and knows a lot about something? An aficianado. I have never in all my days known A person who likes and knows a lot about something to think lives are secondary or unimportant.

Then you must live in a tube.

You can claim you've never seen it, but that is the true ignorance here.

It's a shame some use inanimate objects to make them feel more like men.

Minus points for not studying the marketing materials of the USA Car Industry.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I read this thread only to find people telling me what I should and should not collect….wow.

Anyway, if this smart technology becomes viable I would imagine firearms manufactured prior to the law would be grandfathered.

A word of warning about government though - Its likely people will start legislating before the technology is ready. In fact they may start legislating ahead of the technology as a de facto ban.

Who is him? Anyone who champions guns as a right as opposed to something that is given? Something that is tragic and something that causes anguish?

No, I meant if for people *like* you.

Marriage and infidelity have caused me a LOT more tragedy and anguish than ever a gun did.

Guns are not tragic, people are.

And the right to own a gun WAS given to all Americans.

There is definitely a direct correlation between gun aficionados, ####### size and iq.

Links to proof, or STFU.

I know a LOT of lady gun owners that would tell you ####### size correlates not at ALL to owning a gun.

I haven't. The fact that you seem to live around such ignorance... have you ever thought of moving away from it?

Snap a selfie in the mens room then post it here, proof positive!

Ignorance is everywhere it's not something you can escape, it's something you learn to cope with.

Yes, it is. So cope, and quit trying to say that guns are the problem. THAT is an ignorant statement. Stupid/careless/reckless/thug-type owners are the problem.

Millions of people own axes, and knives, and other "dangerous weapons". Doesn't mean they use them as other than they were intended for. But people DO use them as weapons, right? It's not the axes' or knives' themselves that cause the harm, it's the person brandishing the weapon.

Even if it were possible to take the Navy's "LASER" and zap away every gun in the US today, people would find other ways to kill. Swords, spears, bow/arrow, crossbows.... remember those? All a gun does is back up the attacker a safer distance from the intended victim. Oh, and give a slighlty higher advantage to suicide attempts. (Swords as a means of killing oneself CAN'T work out, IMHO). :)
