I'm not advocating a mandate as the current technology sits, I simply think that smart guns are a great idea. I'm sure if it ever comes to fruition that there will be certain exempt categories, and rightly so.

It's a complete disconnect. The argument is because I have no real understanding of how guns work, which I don't, that it's ridiculous for me to like an idea that promotes gun safety and less gun deaths. The logic is astounding.

yet that is what this law will do - mandate using it. and should you read the link and find the pdf, are there any exempt categories listed? there's not. ergo, it's another stupid idea from politicians with no thought whatsoever put into their ideas.

I wouldn't know since I don't live in your house. But I will say that my step-father collected guns and he locked me in his safe, pointed his rifles in my face, and casually tossed his guns about frequently.

I have no sympathy for gun collectors, nor do I have sympathy for owners who say they use their weapons for "hunting".

Am I biased? You're goddamn right I am.

Do I think guns should still be legal? Yes. It is our right.

Do I think guns should be regulated? You're fu*king right.

The law as it's written and the current technology are both impractical. The smart gun concept itself is genius.
