does anyone know how they choose the consulate that you get. is it a random draw when you go there or are you assigned one well in advance. she doesnt do facebook so its nobody from there.

Just think about it... the family/friends that she has who knows about her petition could have very well mentioned it to their friends who then mentioned it to their friends and so on. If she lives in a close-knit community, all she has to do is to get her sim loaded in a tindahan and her number is there on that notebook for everyone to see. Nobody has to be in Manila in order to send her a text message. It could have been someone just chilling next door even.

Buy a 40p sim card and call the number that sent the message.

K1 visas do not get processed outside of the Manila embassy. The one in Cebu is mostly for American services.

I think its best for us to just do what is in our control and that is doing the medical and going to the interview and having faith that everything will be fine. I will be there to support her at the interview and we have tons of proof of our love. Ive spent alot of time with her in the phillipines and we talk every single day

Lots of sms trolls here. Can't count the number of times I've received bribery messages that were so off base. I changed my number and I don't reload my credits in any place that requires me to write down my number or to give out my number. Call cards are safer.

she said she will call them soon using a different phone to find out who it is thats calling them. It would have to be someone that knows what a ds-160 is so they would have had to go thru the process of getting a visa before or know how it works. I just pray and hope that whatever happens it wont effect her getting her visa. hoping its some jealous friend or something just trying to hurt her.

Where she did her DS-160 form? at internet cafe, home, or work? I filled out DS-160 form at home and printed at work since mine wasn't work properly. If she finished her DS-160 at internet cafe, there is a chance that someone stolen her information without her knowing about that - remember they can remotely watch what you are doing-.

I had regular contact with people at US embassy in Jakarta for my job assignment and I knew that even local employees really careful talking or share information though it was just small thing. I don't think someone wanted to jeopardize his/her work for doing silly thing like this. US embassy is well known- at least in Indonesia- to select people to work with them.
