Hi everyone! I am an American living in Manila and went DCF and submitted additional documents for my wife (221g). I was just wondering if anyone knew how long the process will take after that if everything is in order?

Thanks for any info or advice....

Hey guys, the DCF journey for us was excellent - my wife got her visa delivered to us as promised yesterday! We are so excited. I recommend the DCF route for anybody in Manila. The process was perfect, embassy was excellent and 2go delivery performed to exactly what they said. God Bless all of you on your journey - God will find a way...

Also during NVC stage do we need to submit the birth certificates of her children (my stepchildren) form her ex? I am not yet petitioning my step children due to financial reason. Hello,

Well first off what I did was I needed to get the Philippine side of things organized....Meaning I had to have her get a Philippine Passport with our married name and the do the CFO stuff and then I made an appointment for us at the US Embassy and had to submit the I130 and all the relevent papers. You need to be domiciled in the USA when you are doing the DCF and you need to prove your financial capability depending on the size of your family and who you are able to support. It is an excellent process if all your papers are in order. If you are not able to financially support your wife you may need a co sponsor. Also, bring your original documents to your interview (copies are ok - but you need to submit originals too)...Whole process for us from the US EMBASSY Manila was about 3-4 months....On your question with petitioning outside of your wife and kids from another marriage, you need to be able to support those people too and that I think you need to inquire with the Embassy about (I am not sure about that question, you really need to ask the embassy about that...)

Take care and if all is in order you should be good to go....Best of Luck on your journey!
