Timeline

The NVC told me the day the mail left the building via DHL, about a week to get shipped roughly then the time for them to open and log the info give 2 weeks minimum. Thats what I had done. The "four week rule" should be pretty safe.

Your case being an expedite may have moved things a might faster. I would get very nervous trying to get it all done in a couple weeks, I would not enjoy being told I can't do my interview because the file hasn't arrived yet and have to re-schedule... yup 4 week is the comfort zone for me ;)

The chance that your case isn't going to be at the USEM in time for the interview is infinitesimal. If you were worried about it, you could always call the Embassy a couple of days before your interview and ask them if they had your case. If they didn't have it, you could always reschedule your interview without an additional charge.
