So, on the dawn of the New Year, I realized that my maternity leave is up at the end of the month and Im going to have to leave the baby and go back to work. :crying: I know its kinda bad of me to say, but I didnt have this much of a hard time leaving my other two to go back to work, but the thought of leaving my baby is just breaking my heart!! Ive settled into such a routine with her, and have even managed to do SO much more with my other two children as well. So from anyone who recently went through this, or has any suggestions, Id be happy to hear them!! My middle child is almost 5 so its been a while since I had to deal with this!! :help:

Anyone know of a really good "work from home" idea that pulls in a lot of money???

She is soo pretty!

I can offer no advice as I have no children yet.

But I can imagine that it is tough. Chris and I have both talked a lot about it and we are preparing now so that it will be possible foe me to stay home as long as we can. Not everyone is able to do that I know.

Humm...my girlfriend is a stay at home momma and she baby sits another friends baby along with her infant. Is that an option...I mean the cost of daycare is some much...it might work out for someone else.

I feel with you!!! My son is 19 months old and i still have to fight myself out the door every morning. I hate coming to work everyday when i know i could be at home with my son. I wish there were some good stay at home jobs i knew about, if i did i would be doing it too. :P So im all ears for anyone who gives advice on that as well.

Also i feel the same as you, i didnt have such a hard time going to work after my first daughter. But after my son, its pure torture. :(

I think a lot of it has to do with having time for my ENTIRE family as well, ya know?? When Im at work, even when it was just the other two kids and the hubby, I would come home EXHAUSTED and just not have energy to do anything, and before I knew it, it was time for bed, and I was still cleaning up after dinner. I dont know, maybe on top of just missing her, Im so worried Im going to have NO time with them after I get home from work anyways!!

UUUGGGHHHH!!!!

I bet it would be fairly expensive to be properly insured for such a thing.

I don't know what your fiancial situation is, but could you possibly make some sacrifices and just be a stay-at-home Mom or possibly only work part-time?

When my 3 kids were little (they are 25, 23, and 19 now), I stayed at home for most of their younger years, and I have never regretted it. I watched a lot of our friends and family move into bigger, brand new houses, drive bigger, brand new cars, and take nice vacations and eat out all the time, while we had a very different lifestyle. It was a choice my ex-husband and I made and I have never regretted it for one single day. It gave me the opportunity to be home when my kids got home from school and to help out in the classroom and take them to pre-school, etc. and you just can't put a price on that!!!!!

I know everyone is different, and that's the nice thing about having choices. For me, staying home with my kids until they were older was the right thing to do.

Good luck with finding something to make money from home. That would be a great solution!!!!

I wish I could give Veronica that option..and maybe I will someday.. but starting a new life is tough enough on two incomes.. but for one..Well I would wonder if she would be unhappy because of the things we didn't do.. If I could be certain...that she wouldn't in time become unhappy because of it..I would keep her home..if she would stay there..So far she wants to work to build our future....

But I do agree..I would love her to stay at home.. and especially when and if Julien comes(Yes we have named our first already :) )

Boy can I relate.....my leave is up this Monday, and after being home with her for the last five months, my heart is breaking :(

I am sick thinking of going back to work, but don't have any other option right now.....

I also have two older kids that I stayed home with, so this is new to me......if you find that "work from home" dream job, let me know......

Kiki, what a cutie!!!

I wish I could just stay at home, but at the moment, Im the one carrying the insurance until Scott starts teaching which will hopefully be in the next school year! Till then though Im afraid Im stuck unless I can find something where I can stay at home and get benefits as well.

All these new mommys and daddys around, its good to have some people to relate to and know how Im feeling...

Good luck Kiki!!! Take lots of pics to work with you!!!

Oh I hear you!!

I mean we dont have any children yet but I was ans Aupair and took care of a baby and a boy.. I really feel sad for the parents especially for the mother becasue while i's at home with her sons and experiences all this changes with the baby - she just had to hear it from me! I thought about that a lot and I wish I could be there to be with my baby for all the changes and growing up.. it's just so amazing how important a person can influence children.. I wouldnt want somebody else to have to tell me what my baby is like for that day.. it's sad >< Hope you guys come up with good ideas for stay at home parents.. I just really interested too!!
