Hello everyone! My name is George and i have quite an unusual case.My wife and I were happily married for a good 2 years. We lived in Maine for the time being. We were planning to move out of state to start a new life in the city of Chicago and we finally did it in october of 2013. The very second day we were here my wife came up to me saying she does not want to be here with me,she wants to go home( In Maine) and pretty much put an end of our relationship, eventho like just a few days before our trip down she looked like the happiest woman..Times were tight and she new my green card had to be renewed by the end of the year, yet she said she will take her time thinkin about our marriage and if she would consider coming back to me so before she left she helped me filing my I-751 for removing condition and said no matter what happens she would be there for me if we need a prove of our marriage for the past 2 years...She recently contacted me stating that shes done waiting and she would file for divorce eventho my case is still pending.I somehow managed to change her mind and wait till like end of march..however i feel like if we get called for an interview she wont be willing to show up for it..Im starting to lose hope and i dont know if i should get a lawyer for my case once i get called for the interview( if i do) .I have all the proves to show that my marriage was entered in good faith and up until october of 2013 it was like that. Can you guys give me some suggestions on what would be the best to do.I appreciate you time!Good luck!

You should just change the jointly I-751 to a waiver.

I see.But i feel like i'm a bit late for this since its been already four months , and there would be no way divorce will be finalized before USCIS gets at me for my pending case..

First of all...I am very sorry for what you are going through!

Second of all....try to find out what is going on in her mind and heart? Why does she want a divorce? What did change besides the move? I know we are here a visa forum but my marriage would be first priority!!! I wouldn't even have the time to think what could happen to my green card! Try to save your marriage!!!!!!

Good luck!!!

Thanks for the reply..And honestly i could care less about the green card.It happened out of the blue.Like she said she had issues but she never opened up for them.On the other hand I could never see that coming like she was talking how bad she wanted us to have kids and she was really excited about our move here.Even on our trip down she looked happy. Then few days later when she threw it all on me she showed no mercy whatsoever like she wont change her mind. I know it might not make sense to you guys,i still find it hard to believe how that happened ..I know all she cares about is divorcing me.The thing is that i'm in a situation that I've waited like 4 months for RoC , yet if we get called for an interview I am not sure if she will show up on the other hand if she files for divorce right now I wont be able to file with a waiver being divorced before a decision on the RoC is made..

I've went to Vietnam (2001) and saw people taking dumps on the sidewalk 2hrs after arrival, a taxi driver tried to rob me, and people kept watching us and my camera backpack. Took me 3 days to decide this was a hole.

Something else is going on with your wife!
