No body gets sarcasm any more

When you sent me the Valentines message that said, you are my favorite cracker, you did not mean it did you Marvin?

When has cracker become a term of endearment?

Head racist here

During the zimmerman trial this is what was explained on this forum. I thought it was racist (cracker) and someone who was african american made this observation "a term of endearment." To set me straight. I try to learn from everyone on this forum.....So.. As a white person is being beaten by a group of african americans I feel .....the outpouring of love as they call him cracker during the beat down. This is not a hate crime for certain...

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

Don't discuss what we talk about in private, don't want Dave to find out he's not the only one...

That's a nice dig.

I seriously doubt the poster in question was suggesting this so much as stating what had been suggested by someone else. I haven't seen anything else from him that would lead me to believe he, personally, was suggesting this. But I guess we'll see if he explains.

If this was directed at me, I have never said cracker was a term of endearment.

Link to one example on this board stating this type of an act does not equate to a hate crime.

Still waiting LIB. Pretty soon you're gonna have to change your title from Head Racist to Head Racist and BS Artist.

That's a nice dig.

The reading comprehension of some people here is atrocious. I'm amazed that they are capable of getting themselves on-line, let alone post.

I don't know what "Guess it's not so crazy anymore huh Penny" means. What did I say was crazy?

A term of endearment is a word or phrase used to address and/or describe a person, animal or inanimate object for which the speaker feels love or affection.

Oh, LIB. I know what a term of endearment is. I was asking for the thread where someone said "cracker" was one. Thankfully someone else stepped up while you were confused.

In the same thread, they said:

"So if they don't consider it wrong then why did she apologize in court before saying the word for the first time? Clearly she knew somebody would find it offensive.. "Sorry for my language.. cracker". Saying racist things so often that it becomes second nature doesn't make it cultural."

Oh Penny, you have left yourself WIDE open with this question. rofl.gif

But I am feeling particularly mellow this morning, no caffeine in my system, so I will let you by with a nice "Good Morning, ma'am..."
