I'm aware of that. If he was convicted of any of the above, that would do. But as it stands, he's going to jail for attempted murder, not murder. Meaning that the only reason he's going to serve any time is because he didn't kill the other three teens inside the vehicle.

Relax, Marv. He will be re-tried, and the case will be simpler, and he will get his just dues for the murder. The recent trial was too... obfuscated. All will be made well. And even if it isn't, does it matter? He will die in jail. And well that he should.

The politically correct prosecutors are still going after Murder 1 even though the experts are telling them that is wrong. I suspect the prosecutor may have political aspirations.

Good chance it will fail again. If you do murder 2 you only need six jurors

Fixxored.

Was watching Cheaters one night with a Buddy. He peeked in a hotel room window and caught his smoking hot russian wife in Bed with another smoking hot woman.

My buddy said," Look at him pretending he is mad"

The whole room fell on the floor

I'm mad, along with a few other folks, because this dude will go to jail, but not for killing this kid. If he was alone, he would have walked out a free man. The only thing reason he's going to jail is because he didn't kill the other 3 kids.

It's not about PC. Think of it this way. If a woman's house was broken into and she was beaten and raped, the jury said we know he broke in, but we can't decide if he assaulted and raped the woman, do you think that lady would be okay with that verdict?

I agree that it's a waste of time because if one person saw as a threat, it's a wrap.

Dude just about when we have lead you out of your everything is racism haze.

The dude will go to jail. The only reason he did not get 2nd degree is there were people on the jury who would not come off 1st degree, which it clearly was not.

If those 2 or 3 had agreed on 2nd degree it would have been over

Blame the prosecutors

Blame the 2 morons who would not agree on 2nd degree murder

but stop blaming racism

The charge didn't stick because some believed it was self defense. Read the article, they went for 2nd and Manslaughter as well. 3 people on the jury said it was self defense. That's why he wasn't charged with it.

Self defence?

10 shots fired, into a stationary vehicle, with no return fire. Not staying around to wait for the police. How does that equal self defence?

I really don't see how a rational person can arrive at self defence, given the evidence at hand.

On the murder charge, Valerie said the jury split over the issue of self-defense.

Florida law says the use of deadly force is justifiable if someone reasonably believes that the force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm.

That's from the article itself. Meaning that 3 people argued that he had just cause in killing him.

White people suck. What can I say?

There were different races of people on the jury, for all we know, it could have been 2 black folks and someone else that hung the jury.

It's just sad that this kid is ONLY going to get justice on a fluke of law. That's because he had friends that survived the attack, he gets to go to jail. If they'd been killed, or he was by himself, Michael Dunn, for all his racist rants, his lies, his feelings of victimhood, would be on the street today.
