as a brother of a US citizen your category is F4.to how long the process takes depends on which country you from. Refer to visa bulletin. Oh! Siberia? that's around 13years wait. Only immediate family members of USC like spouse, parents and Unmarried children under 21yrs old are not subject to numerical restriction of visa quotas. Edited by Mockingjay

The entire process will take 12-13 years before you will be eligible for an immigration visa.

Only 4 countries are treated differently. They have too many people applying exceeding the per country cap on immigration, so it's generally will be slower for people from India, the Philippines, Mexico, and mainland China. So being from Serbia, it will be faster for you than people from these countries.

Serbia gets lumped in with the rest of the world, and there is only one line here. So being from Serbia would not make it faster here.

Think of it this way. You will wait 13 years. A Filipino sibling has to wait 24 years.

hi,

yes, as said, all countries get lumped into one column, same waiting time, except for the 4 countries mentioned above

you can find it on the visa bulletin. once the i130 is approved you have to check every month the visa bulletin until your priority date shows up there, that means there Is a visa available for you

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/bulletin/2014/visa-bulletin-for-march-2014.html

check category F4
