hi everyone,

As i read different directions about the next step after Noa2 i get confused. Some people told me that i need to hear from the consulate (ankara embassy) and send them required docs before the actual interview. that sounds fine. I also heard that i need to wait for an interview date! so if i pick an interview date online then how am i supposed to wait a date from the consulate? as i know im supposed to send required docs, pick an interview date online and wait for the interview.

Is there anyone who went through the process including ankara embassy? i would appreciate any sharing. thanks

My fiance just had his interview a month-ish ago in Ankara. As soon as you get your ANK # from NVC, you can go online and schedule an appointment and pick your PTT location. You have to pay your $240 fee online in order to make an appointment. Shortly thereafter, you'll get an email with instructions from the embassy. Actually, I think it was less than 24 hours. There are some documents you send to them prior to the interview, but others you need to bring with you the day of the interview.

I think the email from the embassy was in response to receiving the package from NVC. I scheduled an appointment as soon as we got the ANK #, but like I said, it all happened within just a few days of each other. Don't get caught up in which comes first. Ankara was very responsive to emails and I usually got an answer in less than 24 hours to the 2 queries I sent them.

Their email walks you through all the needed forms, how to set up a medical exam, etc. Everything went very smoothly. Read my embassy review I wrote.

Hello

The petitioner will receive an email from Ankara once they receive the file from NVC.

Once Ankara receives the file, you can make an appointment online. If you make an appointment prior to Ankara receiving the file, your appointment will be canceled.

The Consulate's website has an FAQ section as well as a PDF file with instructions for the K1 visa.

Our interview is tomorrow.

Good luck on your journey

I set up our interview as soon as I got the case # -- no need to wait for the email. I believe the email from the embassy came maybe a day or two after setting the appointment at the embassy. You can only make medical appointments one month in advance, so you need to see when you embassy appointment is before scheduling the medical exam.
