NSC for Jan '14 I130 filers

Hi VJ,

My wife and I received a PD for our I130 which is the 01/27/14, our case was routed from the Phoenix lockbox to the NSC.

The wait is already killing me :-(

From reading through various threads, as far as I can gather the NSC is seriously backed up?¿

Would someone please be able to give me the lowdown on this service centre and also what to expect as a Jan '14 filer?

Should we expect that our case will remain here until forwarded onto the NVC?

Will it join the back of the queue meaning that we definitely have a 6+ month wait or might it be transferred to another centre that is processing more quickly (CSC)?

I just need some form of guidance to help ease my mind ?

It's most likely that your case will stay at Nebraska, but they've changed processing locations a number of times in the past few years, so there's no guarantee. You should be erring on the side of caution with your plans. USCIS is trying to reduce processing times so maybe it'll be 6 months for you, but it would be safer to plan for 8 just in case, as that seems to be the average for VJ members right now.
