Do you get a notice if your case gets transferred? We're at the NBC and ours was accepted in Sept. We are hoping to be back in the states by October for the 'wedding' type reception, are the chances good we'll be done in time? Where did you find all of the info beyond the time tables? I am looking around but I'm kinda new and I can't seem to find much other then the 'check processing times'.

Thanks in advance guys! Just trying to reassure myself I guess, feels like it's been a long time away from home for me.

Baime22, here's a link for all the Sept 2013 I-130 filers. There's a spreadsheet we're using to track all the transfers (which we're all hoping starts next week). As far as being in the states by Oct, I can't say for sure. I hope so!

I want to be excited by this news. VJ data now showing my I130 MAY be adjudicated between March 12 and May 2 2014?

That would rock my little world.

Sadly, I'm not getting my hopes up......

Good luck, everyone.

Namaste

That figure is based on user input. Don't count on it too much. its nice to see those dates but if people don't fill in their timelines or come back and report their approvals, its not worth anything.

Where can I find that report on new dates from uscis?

on the top of this VJ page, click PROCESSING TIMES. Find the Service Center you want to know about and click.... It will take you to the USCIS page where they report processing times. They are AS OF DEC 31st. Which is total ####### because I filed in April and they are claiming they were processing May files in December. Lots of March filers were still being approved in January.

Ohhhhh I have heard it all .

As of Dec 30th I was told my cases are assigned to an officer. Recently I have been told there is a delay because my cases are undergoing additional security checks...( come to find out from my Senator's office that she has SEVERAL cases with the same excuse)

My husband and I are the most boring people. What could they possibly be checking? We don't have common last names and he comes from a country that doesn't even have a military. I have a previous marraige but my divorce decree and translation are in my package. I am a USC.... I have only ever had one speeding ticket in my entire life ( back in May 1992) LOL

My theory is... they ran out of excuses so they are telling everyone they are undergoing additional background checks that cannot be expedited... I guess they think that will make me sit down for a while....

Not a chance.

Yesterday I received a status update in the mail saying my K-3 is WITH an adjudicator but waiting for security checks to be completed. My BIG question is...... Why did it take 10 months for someone to run a security check that they KNOW may take a while ? Doesn't it make sense to have a separate security dept where the security checks are initiated so it doesn't create a problem or delay later when the file is actually on someone's desk?

You do get a e-mail and text notices if you registered for updates that way, (by making an account on the website with your receipt number) and you also get a hard copy of what service center you are at, what you could do if you get the notification from the the e-mail.. you could call USCIS saying you never received the hard-copy so you could get transferred to a tier 2 who would possibly look for your case like someone previously had done on this forum. As for what I can tell when your's will be approved or not, no one really knows. My wife was hoping to be back by December of last year, we filed in May last year, and we're still waiting for approval from USCIS. ranting33va.gif But I've seen a lot of June/July approvals lately! So good luck!

They are, they're all lame excuses, and that's one reason they keep their processing dates behind, as one officer could be in august, while the other is in April still.. I feel ours is in some box that doesn't want to be touched and is collecting dust, really! I think they update their processing times to a date closer to what they really are at, so they know they would only have a few from certain months passed the certain processing times.. I don't think the security checks take that long.. possibly 48 hours and depends on the number of hits they get on your name but have to see if it's actually you or not! Silly, really.

I will certainly update my timeline as soon as anything changes. I also know the I-130 being approved is only the first part of my journey. Would be nice to think I could be living with my husband by the end of the year.

We might have approached our immigration process differently had we known what the wait time was going to be.

I find it interesting how quickly fiance visas get approved compared to people who are already married, and in our case, been doing long distance for 5 years!

Sigh. It will be what it will be.

Namaste.

Processing times are what USCIS are processing cases by a certain date, USCIS has a goal of 5 months for processing times, but as everyone has been experiencing since the end of 2012, was more than 5 months.. clearly going up to 15 months at one point. Due to a backlog at USCIS for I-130 applications.

If the office shows a particular type of application in less time/more time than their 5 month goal, they will show what their processing times were at that time. Since none of them are processing their cases within 5 months, they showed the 'last date' they are processing at..

as right now three are at "April 5, 2013".. but that was of Dec 31, 2013 figures.

Hope that helps a bit :).

So if their current processing dates are based on December figures does that mean that April 5th is more like June 5th?¿

I doubt it. Don't rely on ANY numbers too much, I did that in the beginning and always got my hopes up just to be disappointed yet again. You'll just have to wait it out like everyone else. Hope yours doesn't take as long as mine...or ticoslove or all the others who have been waiting for almost a year to just get approved by uscis.
