Marvin, as an outsider, I gotta say that you bring it up more than anyone else I know. It's your life, you're free to do so, but I think it hurts more than it helps. Saying that as... as good of a friend as any two can be on an open forum like this.

If you go back, this was brought up by someone else, not me. This should be NB's new signature and picture.

I put that on the Political Graphics thread.

There were a number of threads that seemed to be going down a blind alley, and I thought the quote was most apropos.

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

I mean the fact that you bring up race a lot. It's time to let it go to its grave, and I cannot do it alone. I need YOUR help. Will you help your "brother from another mother"?

If he said he felt threatened, it's plausible.

So despite the case of Mr. battle who was black and walked, and rightly so, you still don't think a black man can get a fair shake

Ok Dora the Explorer, but make sure you chin check the usual race baiters here. It's brought up a lot here in negativity, I just try to even out the spread.

You, of all people, know the game is rigged. My point was Scott was stopping actual criminal activity and one of the criminals said he only shot the kid when he rushed him, yet he was arrested and had to prove his innocence. Zimmerman broke every common sense rule in the book, there was no criminal activity until the actual fight(which Zimmerman could have avoided had he identified himself sometime during the entire fiasco) and not a single person could attest to his side of the story, yet he wasn't arrested. His word alone was enough to set him free. You do the math.

If you look back, a lot of times it's brought up by me when some folks here make comments based on race. The reason I say it out loud is because I'm not afraid to talk about it. They do it in a round about way so they don't get banned.

Yes, I agree, there are some very, very clever wordsmiths among us. Notice how quiet it has been lately though? Either they are on very interesting vacations, or they "took some time off". There will always be those who skirt the issue, some who never see all men as created equal. Nothing any of us can do to change that, except rise above it. When it's blatant, call it out. When it's subterfuge, make a note of it, remember the user, and let it ride. One day, they will trip themselves up. With any luck, it will be in the real world, not behind the protective anonymity of the interwebs.

I do wonder how many of them actually run their mouths to someone's face. I'm guessing none.

I just realized what topic we are in. This thing has nothing to do with race. Can we shut up and stick to the story, please?

So Zimmerman was not arrested and had to prove he was not guilty?

FFS. I'm just gonna ask to have this thread closed. There's no use in posting stories anymore. They all end up being about the same two or three things.

And you'd be 100% korek. Then again, 99% of all the BS on here wouldn't exist, if we were all to sit around a table and talk about it in person. In fact, I think I could name several who wouldn't even have the intestinal fortitude to show up for the meet.
