Hi everyone, im having a situation about DS-261 to where I filled it up Feb.4 and I just saw yesterday that I put my agent's country wrong that it should be US instead of Philippines. so what I did is I edit the form and sent it again and got the notification again like I had the first time. would it make a problem with our case that I sent DS-261 twice? plus its been quite a few days that we haven't received the IV fee though our AOS is been paid. hoping someone can enlighten me with this.

I dont think it really matters but to be sure i suggest you call nvc tomorrow and inform them you submitted the ds261 twice, and also the reason why. Idk why your IV fee is taking too long and im not sure if submitting the ds261 twice has something to do with it but usually the IV fee is invoiced more or less a week after the ds261 has been submitted.

thanks for the response krispykreme. I was thinking about our IV fee bill too since we sent our DS-261 last feb 4 and even though I edited my form and sent it again yesterday still our IV fee isn't available. but I already asked my husband to call NVC today since its holiday yesterday. thanks again and God bless.

They said if you submit another form then they'll just disregard the first one and accept the latest form you submitted.

The only reason for the DS-261 is to get the IV invoice. Even if it's accidentally wrong there are many ways to fix it so please, never, reopen or resubmit this form. The only time in which this will not affect your case if is the IV has already been invoiced.

Thats right... Its just for me its too late to learned that. Though you cant blame yourself for worrying about a littlest mistake and making you resubmit forms etc coz you want this while process to be perfect. Anyways it caused us a short delay but everything went good. We're already here for almost a year. Goodluck on ya'll journey.
