Hi All,

I have a question here, if any of you knows please response.

My wife just had her Visa interview today in Vietnam and was in AP because of our joint sponsor. My wife did not clearly explained to me but as I understand that they need both the husband and the wife of our joint sponsor signed the from I-864 (affidavit of support), however, there is only 1 space for 1 signature on the form . Is this happen to any of you guys. Usually only one of them sign the form, right? Or do they need two separate forms, one from the husband and one from the wife. Thank you very much for your help.

Jan. 08, 2013 ....I-130 Sent Out.
Jan. 09, 2013 ....NOA1
July 29, 2013 ....NOA2 ....6 Months and 3 Weeks After NOA1

NVC:

Aug. 07, 2013 ....NVC Received File from USCIS.

Aug. 20, 2013 ....Got Case # and Invoice Id # From NVC by phone

Aug. 21, 2013 ....Got DS-3032 form & I-864 bill by email

Aug. 21, 2013 ....Husband (Petitioner) paid AOS bill $88.00 Online - Wife (Beneficiary) email DS-3032 to NVC assigned Husband as Agent to received Mails from NVC

Aug. 23, 2013 ....AOS bill status: "Paid"

Sep. 04, 2013 ....Wife got email from NVC, DS-3032 Accepted.

Sep. 05, 2013 ....Husband got IV Bill by email from NVC, paid $230.00 online.

Sep. 06, 2013 ....IV bill status: "Paid"

Sep. 08, 2013 ....Submitted Form DS-260 online.

Sep. 16, 2013 ....Express Mailed Civil Documents to NVC

Sep. 19, 2013 ....Express Mailed I-864 Package to NVC

Nov. 25, 2013 ....Case Completed at NVC

Feb. 18, 2014 ....Pass Interview, but Wife need to get a new Passport

Apr. 04, 2014 ....Wife get her Visa

Apr. 16, 2014 ....Wife Come To America - JFK Airport

The petitioner completes one I-864 even if he doesn't have income. The joint sponsor will complete and sign another I-864. If the wife of the joint sponsor is a second joint sponsor then indeed completes another I-864. If the wife of the joint sponsor file taxes jointly then she would have to complete I-864A contract between a joint sponsor and family member. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

My dad is our joint sponsor so he completed I-864 and my mom signed I-864 A. And of course the petitioner, I completed separate I-864 as a petitioner.

06/06/2013 NOA1 (NBC-MSC)

12/18/2013 Case transferred(NSC)

01/14/2014 Alien Registration Number Changed

01/15//2014 NOA2 (Expedite)

Received: January 27, 2014

Case # Assigned: January 29, 2014

AOS Bill Paid: January 31, 2014

DS-261 Completed: February 1, 2014

AOS Package Sent Via Express Mail: February 6, 2014

IV Bill Paid: February 10, 2014, In Process

IV Package Sent: February 12, 2014

IV Bill Shows Paid: February 14, 2014

DS-260 Completed: February 14, 2014

Case Complete: March 6, 2014
