Hi,

My mother is a USC. Both her father and brother passed away tragically last year. Her mom is still living in india. She is 70 plus years old and no one to take care of her in india. Pending her medical exam, my mom would like to petition to bring her to the US. Based on my grandma's age and living situation, is there a possibility to expedite the I-130 application? Please advise. We are concerned about her health and would like to bring her to the US asap depending.

Thanks!

There aren't a lot of things that will get a petition expedited. Your will most likely be denied because the hardship needs to be to the USC not the intended immigrant. Beware that do to her age your family may have to show insurance which can be expensive ( affordable care act has a strange idea of affordable )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Check with your Exchange, but you would be looking at c$15,000 a year just in premiums.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
