AOS - how long should I wait to file?

No reason to wait, do it as soon as possible! We had our case ready to be dropped in the mail the same day we got married. I was told multiple times (at the consulate and the POE) to file asap after getting married. I believe the "deadline", if there is one, would be the date the I-94 expires, though you certainly can apply after that. I just see no reason to put it off or wait to the last minute; the sooner you file, the sooner you'll be approved, and the sooner you won't have to deal with USCIS anymore :)
